I thought i would try to sneak one more poll in this year... this time, it's about the action feature. You know, the 'little mechanical or audible extra' added to Joe figures, vehicles, and playsets, to make them that much better! //the discussion about the flagg mike got me thinking... Anyway, I'll go first: Favorite Action Feature: The Dragonfly blade-spinner mechanism. This feature was used every time the helicopter was brought into play, yet didn't detract from the vehicle except for one tiny thumb slide. Anyone else? Remember, you can nominate only one action feature, and you must provide a reason - I'll collect entries until wednesday, then get the poll up - |

Butt Plugg. There's nothing more fun than watching duke whack himself in the face with a nunchuck. that and butt plugg is fun to say. also as far as action attack features go...the butt plugg is one of the better working mechanisms |

The rapid-fire eight missile launching cannon on the Battle Wagon! That was actually pretty cool. You could line up a bunch of Cobras and knock 'em down pretty effectively with this thing. BTW, if you happen to do a nomination for LEAST favorite, put me down for Ninja Force ANYTHING. Incorporating spring actions into the figures, hindering their articulation, and sealing the figures so they couldn't be opened for repair purposes was one of the dumbest things ever done to the G.I.Joe line. |

My Fav is when the helicopter go outs of the RHINO, very slow and detailed, it fits perfect too. |

That action feature is one that can be operated by the figure itself. The hilarity is endless. On a similar note. http://www.yojoe.com/action/04/kamakura2.shtml The Back Scratcher. I cant not laugh when I squeeze this figures legs and BAM his hand is stuck to his sword and the sword stuck on his back. Action AHOY! If we're being serious, though. I have to go with any number of the motorized ARAH backpacks with my favorite being the Tank Car. http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/88/vehiclepack_tankcar/ |

There's a lot of good ones out there -- the Night Attach Chopper does all kinds of stuff, the Monster Blaster can hurl those missles pretty far, the Patriot Grizzly's cannon is awesome -- that thing is endless amounts of fun and I was able to shoot a round up my cat's nose one time. But all in all - I have to nominate the Thunderwing's firing mechanism. You can switch from missiles to bombs to guns and you get not only poke-your-eye-out projectiles, but cool sound effects as well. And I won't even count the "Going Tactical" "Break Right" etc sound effects -- the Thunderwing is the most feature-laden Joe toy ever IMO. |

Firefly V2 Spinning Top Bomb thingie. Didn't ever really use it as a weapon but I wasted tons of time lining up figures and trying to plow them down with that thing. Same goes for all of those missile launchers that came with figures. They didn't get in the way of cool figures but they were better than BBs for shooting joes. |

I really liked the Battle Copters zip cord flight feature. It sent the vehicle and figure way up into the air and still landed pretty softy. I did catch my brother in the face once with it though.

MBB, those light-up launchers made sense to me as a kid, too. All except Mutt's. I know we're only talking about RAH Joes, but I have to mention the 60s Green Beret bazooka. It's one of the few accessories I have from my mom and uncle's '65 Joes and it still works. My uncle gave me some kind of plastic rods that are longer than it to shoot since the rockets were lost a long time ago and it will launch them across the room. I can only imagine how far it would shoot the original ammo. That thing is freaking awesome! It's hard for me to choose just one RAH action thing, most of them were really neat, especially the ones in the 80s. I think my absolute favorite feature is the automatic landing gear on the Sky Striker, Night Raven, and Phantom. I remember the first time I got a Night Raven, thinking it was so cool to be able to actually deploy the landing gear instead of manually lowering it. |

How did Zartan's color changing in the sun feature not get mentioned. Ok maybe it isn't "action" packed, but it is still super cool. 20 years later, they can't duplicate it. That is how cool it is. The Thumderwing missile shooting to bomb dropping mechanism is really fun. The NAC gave me everything I liked about the Dragonfly and then amped it up with the missile launchers. |

Sigma 6 Heavy Duty's minigun! I loved how it would spin around and around! My mom didn't. |
