I was just at Target, and they have temporarily reduced the price of the Ultimate Battle Pack from $62.99 to $59.84, a whopping 5% off. The price reducting will run until December 27, after which they will most likely be put on clearance.

The Targets near me seem to be keeping ONE of these on display on an end cap otherwise filled with Star Wars stuff. It's a cool enough set, but not for that money.

One Target down here in Orlando, Florida, has at least 12.
At least.

Every Target around Sarasota, Florida has at least 6 on shelves and more in the back according to the scanners and they haven't moved since they were put out several weeks ago.

I still thats a GREAT price for new collectors, but for old skool dorks like us, thats a bit much for crap we've already got tons of.

I am not even sure I would get it on clearance.

How much do they usually clearance items for? maybe 40% so we would be looking at a $37 price tag maybe?

hmmmmm............I 'll have to think if this is worth it for that price since I really only want Short Fuze.

I'm gonna hold out for clearance. I originally thought it was only supposed to retail for $50, so it needs to get down to about that point or preferably less for me to bite. The WS Target had an endcap full of 'em, so it doesn't seem like too much of a risk. I suspect Short-Fuze will see a more proper release later on anyway.

The price reductions for Target go 15% off, 33%, 50%, then 75%. And for toys, the prices usually drop on Thursdays. There's some site on the web that if you punch in the SKU, it will tell you what Target has the item and what its clearance price is. My wife loves the site, but I've never used it.

Target usually goes 30, 50, 75% on their clearance, you can tell it's at the final clearance when the price has a "4" on the end.

Here's how the prices would break down if/when it goes on clearance:

30%- $44.09
50%- $31.49
75%- $15.74
