well, I hit the Watertown, Ma target early this morning, right when it opened (pays to work nights and get off when people are going in) well anyway, there were two women at the door,. and SEVEN, count them, SEVEN guys,.. who obviously were scalpers or diehard collectors (one of them even looked like the comic book guy! who the hell wears shorts in 30 degree weather?) well,.. since all the "collectors" were of the heavy set type, they couldnt move too fast... but that didnt matter,.. The store manager saw me in full uniform,.. and LET ME IN A FULL 5 MINUTES EARLY!!!! So by the time the unsure footed got to the action figure aisle.. I already had Glenda,(pilot scarlet), 2 Paravipers, Anti-Armor viper, Croc Master, Mutt, Wraith, and a BAT in my hand!!!! (I also picked up the Robin Williams movie popeye on the way out) Funny enough all seven of them were in the aisles, looking dissappointed. I asked them were they collectors. one blantantly says he resells them online, one guy mentioned he was buying for his sons (where I helped him pick out the coolest star wars figures.) The others lamented on my joe finds,.. but perked up when I told them I was starting a Boston area joe collectors club. all in all, I got some great figures, helped out a fellow father, and got 4 new recruits for the Boston Joe club!!!!! It was a beautiful morning!! |

Yeah, well that happiness won't last long once you put that movie in and start watching it!! And yes, I remember it and how much I liked it when I was little. And I own the DVD. And I re-watched it maybe a year ago. It's kind of painful to watch, now that I'm older. Of course, it's still the best Robin Williams movie, by a pretty big long shot! |

It was a beautiful morning!! I wear shorts in 30 degrees, I also wear socks with sandals and also brown belt with black shoes, what of it? And, a robin williams movie popeye? Isnt that toy like 20+ years too late? Either way nice haul, though I cant say I approve of someone using their uniform for special perks

If you think that's bad, try playing a copy of the Popeye Nintendo game some time. It still seems like a bad donkeykong ripoff |
