Has anyone ever gotten the version 1 Storm Shadow with a backpack hole? I'm pretty sure none of the 5-packs had one, but perhaps when he was released on a card? Anyone? |

Yup, the single card version has the backpack hole. Far as I can remember anyway. |

Definitely. It was actually quite hard to find because it wasn't available with wave 4. When SS showed up in a revision case, the ones around here were all still without backpack hole (and on cards with later embossed date codes). But some of the later date codes did definitely have SS with a backpack hole. I finally found one while at the con. |

Soooo... do you think a wave 4 with a date code of 73092 might have a backpack hole? I'm afraid of opening my packaged one and it being just like the one I already have opened... |

Maybe. The one I have carded witha hole is dated 80502. You can definitely see the hole from outside the package without opening it. I used a led keychain flashlight (a really bright one) to shine down the top of the figure and look behind him. The fact that the cards have that foil backing helps it reflect a lot. If you can't see a hold doing that, then it isn't there. Some figures (like Stalker) are tough to see because they have a strap in the way. But SS's quiver isn't a problem. If you look at a TRU Red Ninja or any of the more recent SS figures that have the hole, you can see what wrinkle the hole is near and can narrow it down from there. It made finding SS without opening one possible, but I looked in a bunch of Stalkers by opening them and now I have loose extras. |

I peeked down the back with a flashlight and... alas... my Storm Shadow has no hole. |
