So today is about the best damn day ever. I love my mailman. Today he dropped off 2 boxes for me containing 7 out of the 8 figures released in the first series of Madelman 2050. All were MOC. There is nothing I love more than ripping into the packaging of 20+ year old toys so I can get my grubby little hands on them to play. These figures have been something I have been after for years ever since finding a loose Bran figure in a $2 bin and not knowing what the hell it was. If you are unfamiliar with Madelman 2050, I suggest you give this article a read: http://smalljoes.com/features/m2050/ Below are some pics of the figures once there were released from their plastic prisons. If you want to see them all MOC, check this out: http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c238/JasterSL1/Madelman%202050/ Now its time to find the rarer series 2 figures ... that will probably take me another 3-4 years.

P.S. Pluv...I know you probably want one of those little red robots for your collection. If I get an extra one, I'll send it your way.

Just for opening them, you have my praise, they are toys, let them be played with.

But as a fan of joes, I gotta ask, why do you like these guys?

holy crap!

I had no idea these existed. Now I need to track them down, at least the blue and orange spaceman. Man no one makes good spaceman toys theses days.

I think what stared me on my obsession with these figures was finding that first Bran figure. He had straight arm Joe styled articulation with magnets in the feet but also no O-ring. The legs hold on to a plastic t-bar that runs through the waist piece and sits in the torso. Its weird but it is like a 20+ year old predecessor to 25th leg articulation (t-bar with no O-ring). The quality of the figures are outstanding. Far better made figures than any other ARAH era knock offs like Remco (of which I am a big fan). Also I think they just look neat. The head sculpts on the human characters are pretty sweet and there is just an oddity factor to the line

I needed something new to track down. I love the hunt for that elusive toy that I can not find. My domestic Joe collection is complete minus the figures that I hate which I will not be in my collection. My international Joe collection is complete minus a couple accessories for the Argen 7 and a couple of the rarer Funskool figures. This being the case I have moved on to knock offs and other 1/18 scale lines from the 80's. Madelman 2050 has proven to be the most challenging to find and the most rewarding to receive. Hope that explains a little about why I like them.

If only there were some way you could reproduce that, like a copy of it, or reproduction of it some how. :shifty: I swear if my head wasn't molded on it would be cast off with the other junk. :D

That little robot is actually 6 pieces. His body is 2 pieces, twists at waist. 2 movable arms and a pair of wheels on the under side. He is really cool but I don't think his construction would lend to casting all that well.

Even as one piece he is still pretty cool. Added articulation just makes him cooler. I also agree with danielb, that orange and blue space guy is all kinds of cool.

YOU LUCKY ^@&!%&^%!!! 8-O :-D

I've only ever seen pictures of these, never had any, always sort of wanted them, can't afford them, and the aliens would certainly be a priority.

Looks like they don't have "swivel arms", but apart from that, no problem with these at all!

CONGRATS! Wow! :-D
