2001, man this is only 7 years ago........
Manimals are not in.
Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)!

Sub viper. Stellar use of a commonly discarded/ignored mold - sludge viper.

I picked the Fast Blast Viper. Despite the stupid name and lack of helmet, it is essentially a HEAT Viper without the ridiculous coloring.

Sub-Viper would be a very close second for the same reasons Stealth Viper gave.

Laser Viper. Can be used as a generic trooper for those who don't like the plain Viper or Cobra Officer/Soldier figs

FBV would be 2nd

It's close between the Sub Viper and the Laser Viper. I give the nod to the Laser Viper because there's something about such an unprotected troop carrying such high tech gear that harkens back to the roots of Cobra. Plus, at the time, they were one of the freshest Cobra ideas we'd seen in a while. I do like the Shadow Viper, too. It's a great repaint, just hard to use.

I went with Fast Blast Viper. Moderately silly name, but a decent overall design. VERY close second would be the Sub-Viper. Excellent use of a previous mold, and really an overall improvement.

Didn't really care for the Laser-Viper in name, although Sci-Fi's 1991 uniform looked decent in Cobra colors. The new headsculpt was too plain, and honestly a little sloppy. The helmet is rather asymmetrical.

The Shadow-Viper always irked me just a bit because I came up with that name several years prior for some custom figures that I made for myself -- which in all honesty I think fit the name better... :roll: :-P :-D

Sub-Viper! Perfect repaint that totally blows away the original scheme! I army-built them, they're very cool navy men.
Fast Blast Viper is indeed also very cool with that black and grey. The only thing I miss is some head protection or face shield. Add a "standard" black helmet or Bullhorn's mask and FBV is so much more cooler.
