Spring time when 2008 Wave 6 & 7 were out your neck of the woods we had nothing. A visit to the toy store resulted in finding 1 Buzzer on the pegs. Through good collectors and eventually waiting for HTS I got what I wanted.

Then during the Summer Joe started returning en mass for Wave 8 & 9. Plus they were all on time. It wasn't a case of reading online about them being found in store and me waiting 2 months before they came to my town. Some figures were still hard to find: Snow Serpent, Bludd & Bat but with HTS & other collectors I found them.

Plus every week I visit the toy section of the big box stores the pegs are always full of a mix of Waves 7, 8, 9 & revisions. Full pegs are good but now that I think about it I haven't seen any new stock at several stores. Plenty of good figures on the pegs. I think by now collectors found all they wanted from those waves. I have some preorders so I know I will get the figures on my "must have" list but I doubt I'll see any thing new at store level.

Wild Bill and Bazooka are everywhere. I saw, bought, and returned one Rattler, but the Conquest is plentiful.

we are still under vipers.

And one WM here has 40 blue shirts :shifty:

Otherwise, wild bill, spirit, general hawk, and tiger force flint clog it up.

I see lots of things in different places. There are 5 Flash figs on the pegs at one target. Along with Jet Pack Duke, even HISS Drivers. CCs arent moving at all and I see Wild Bill, Bazooka and BBQ all the time. The 12" figs arent moving, those crazy mini-figs arent either. I can find a TB/RAM pack any day of the week as well as HISS tanks.

The nearby Walmart has 3+ Pegs loaded to the gills with the older comic packs, from Hawk/Scarlett through the dreadnok pack.

Hasbro has definitely kicked up production levels, which is definitely a good thing.

Several Wild Bills, HISS Drivers, Baroness, TF Flints, Roadblocks, Python Officers and so on clogging the shelves here. I'm afraid that these figures will sit for some time and stores won't order the next waves. Seems like the same stuff everytime I hit a store. The weird thing is I found the first single carded versions of Flint, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Firefly the other day.

My only outlet for current Joes is a grocery store local to Texas but their supply is limited. Luckily, BBTS has come through on the newer stuff. The last time when I could find a wave here before the internet retailers shipped them out was when the BAT/Bazooka/Hawk wave hit.

there's one TRU in my neck of the woods that has literally had 15 Vipers on it's pegs since Summer. Nobody is going near them with a 10 foot pole, I've even announced it on local sightings and still return to see them sitting there.

For the most part the TRU and Wal*Marts by me are either stocked with one peg or two of wave 7 & 8 revisions (I've only seen half of wave 9 once here!) and TONS of wave 1 vehicles - I'm amazed at how many HISS tanks are piled up here.

What frustrates me the most though is that every other toyline gets pegs and pegs, end units, islands, shelves dedicated to them and G.I. Joe is relegated to one or two pegs!!!

Casual observation shows a lot of Wild Bill, Spirit, and Barbecue. Can't speak for the firefighter, but you'd think Cowboys and Indians would do well around here...

Hoping the Rattler holds out until I've for $24.99 for one...

Believe it or not, we still have a few Buzzers. But mainly what's warming the pegs are Wild Bill, Jet-pack Duke, TF Flint, and blue Baroness. Some stores are still stuck on wave 2 and even wave 1 comic packs. Also, we have a Walmart that must have bought about twenty cases of wave 4 (the rerelease of the original 5-packs), because it has three pegs FULL of those figures (minus the air vipers, usually) at all times.

That must be the TRU in Concord as I saw all those Vipers collecting as of last week. And the funny thing was that is all the single packs left in that store where only Vipers. Proving that I am not the only one who thinks this figure is "LASER BLAST", mostly due to the hands.

I stopped by my local TRU today near. They re-stocked wave 5 with five cases. This was the first time I saw 5 Bats and 5 Snow Serpents on the pegs. But there tons of Bazooka, Torpedo, Barbecue and Wild Bill figures not moving....and this was before they re-stocked.

Nah, it was the one near Yonge & 7 (Richmond Hill area), but funny to hear it's not the only TRU with legions of Vipers on its pegs.

5 Bats and 5 Snow Serpents!?! you did pick them all up I hope!

That is the same TRU I went to. But it's considered to be in Concord based on the receipt when I bought those 3-packs.

I only bought 4 Bats to fill out my ranks. I left the rest as I have hit my army building targets for these figures. Plus I am not going nuts on army building the 25th figures. Being a completist is bad enough.

It's hard to jusify buying two army builders at 10 bucks a pop when TRU has the Crimson Guard 5-pack for 19.99. Something doesn't add up here in Canada.

The bane of my collecting world is the Officer/CG comic pack.

The only place I can go to in this City for Joes, the Toys R Us in Times Square, has been stocked to the rafters with these since the spring. They don't sell, they're dusty and expensive (12.99 with the urban-bs mark-up), and *nothing* better seems to show up because of them.

The first wave of SRO packs and RAM/Trubble Bubbles are choking whatever's left of the shelf space there.

The Internet is the only way I'm getting anything released after August.

Alright, if no one else will say it...

Yuma's be kidding!

Isn't Spirit from Arizona? Wait, Taos is in New Mexico... :shifty:

I checked the other day and the local Target has some Bazookas, Torpedos, Wild Bills, the occassional Viper, some Snake-Eyes with the funky earpiece goggles, a Spirit, the lone Hawk/Scarlett pack, a Copperhead/Shipwreck pack, and the perpetual CG/Cobra pack.

The small vehicles seem to be turning over, but the Conquests and the Rattlers sit there.

Oh, and the two DVD sets sit there too...

"...It's beginning to look a lot like clearance..."

I keep looking at the Bazooka figures and wishing I had the skills to turn him into Horrorshow. :(

I think somebody keeps buying the jetpack Duke and the General Hawk and returning them though.

Oh, speaking of peg warming. I went down to K-Mart on the sixth. I noticed they had a Cobra five pack (not the Legion). I opened it up and discover the Baroness has been removed and a red Cobra Commander was inserted. I took it to customer service, was thanked for being helpful, and went on my way.

I was in there the other day and it was back on the floor. :(

I took it back to customer service, explained the previous visit, and showed her it was back on the floor. She shook her head in disgust and put it behind the counter.

I'm stopping in there on Friday. I wonder if it will be on the floor again!
