Sooooo... I'm a big sountrack geek. I have a pretty good collection, but as much as I CRAVE having a soundtrack from the Joe cartoon, it remains a big hole in my music library (I did manage to get a low-quality rip of the GI Joe movie theme and end credits, but I want the rest). Anywho, I've found other movie soundtracks to fill the void. Back in the '80's, it was the Aliens soundtrack... very exciting and has a militaristic sound. Quite a few tracks from Jaws... without the shark theme, are really good. Recently, the soundtrack to Casino Royale and now Quantum of Solace are really good fill-ins.
Does anyone else have any good joe soundtracks to get them in the mood?

I still love the action theme from the original Delta Force movie. To me, that was the first live-action Joe flick. I'll see if I can find a reference to it.

Found a decent link. I don't know how to embed it so here's the link...

And another I used to listen to when I played with my Joes as a kid...

all of these being the scores, which can be a PITA to track down sometimes.

Gotta go with Tim 121RVC regarding The T2 Soundtrack. It was done by Brad Fiedel, who did the original Terminator soundtrack, The Serpent & The Rainbow, and True Lies. He used a lot of actual machine sounds in the score, to make the music more ominous and create a sense of impending doom.

Hans Zimmer is THE MAN for militaristic scoring (see also The Rock and Gladiator)

The first half of the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack is also pretty great

Not Hijack this thread but is that guy in the second clip the same guy from Knight Rider? If so does that mean that the foundation for law and government has a private army called Megaforce (to which i was unfamiliar before this thread)

On topic:
Blackhawk Down
The theme to the Great Escape
I always cue up the A-team when picturing a montage
