Ive been having this idea pop into my head in the last couple days and it wont let me go.. I know some people have had similar ideas so I was wondering, How would you build your GI Joe or Cobra Mystic Force? The premise is its like Paranormal Investigations/Paranormal use and fighting.. Such as when Cobra called up dead spirits in the Joe toon to fight the Joes. Well, which Joes would you call in to fight them? And what Cobras would have summoned them and controlled them? I have come up with this so far. Joe team Spirit - as a Shaman Budo - as an Oriental Myth Expert Psych Out - To make sure its not 'all in their heads' Cobra team Crystal Ball - Astral Projection, Hypnosis Expert Zandar - Urban Mysticism Ghost Bear - Shaman Anyhow thats as far as I have gotten.. So whats your thoughts on it? |

Fantastic idea! I can definetely feel this one. You need that "Ghost busters" dude to shoot malevolent ghosts, maybe even a team of them. Get Mainframe to gear up Flash, Sci-Fi and one of the BF2000 guys with "Ghost Blasters". You can expand it to underwater (pirate ghosts?) and include the likes of Deep Six, Torpedo, Hydro Vipers and the Ghost Bugg. You can expand it to space and have the joes and cobras team up to fight the ghosts of Mars. Bring Spirit and Zandar to space. |

Might want to come up with a different name, though. Power Rangers used this one a couple of years ago.

Yeah, but Shaman Soldiers and Magik Military sound too much like Iron Maiden albums. I think Cobra could use another science dewd like Cesspool, personally. Heck, if you wanted to cross genres, bring in M. Bison. That dude was CRA-ZY. |

Mystic Force was more of a generalization.. I was thinking of coming up with some abbreviational type name but couldn't think of anything kool. Best I got thus far was Paranormal Investigation Soldiers, but P I S just doesn't say GI Joe to me.  I had considered Dodger for part of the Joe team with his "near death" experience maybe peeking his interest in the paranormal and gearing him up with Tech to fight the 'dark side'. Maybe have Pythona as a dark witch for Cobra? |

Yeah I thought of Dodger as the BF2k guy. Experiencing his team mates blown to pieces, while he was right next to them? That dude has a guardian angel, or a guardian demon. Tons of possibilities with Dodger. Zartan/Dreadnoks fit well into this. As does the ninjas. Dial Tone could be cross realm communications. Outback could be in the wild with some crazy forest spirits. Night Vipers could have a completely new role. |

GIJoe Majiranger? Seriously, I like the idea. We could have a wigwam play set for Shaman visions. I see a great opening for the Arashikage clan as well. |

Yeah it would be pretty neat. I've had an idea about a Power Ranger type of team with G.I.Joe. Not necessarily wearing outfits like that and such, but a group of 5 that has some sort of "G.I.Joe/ninja" outfits and are highly trained. Not Snake Eyes and other ninjas either. new members. They could have belts or something that's different colors to give a nod toward Power Rangers, but otherwise it would be a team wearing something you'd expect. Crystal Ball could even be the "main" bad guy they go against even, or just an all new bad guy. |

I bet if you encorporate Clone Emporer Palpatine from Star Wars he could be the main reason and the head villian in all this, he could have seduced Crystal Ball to the dark side and took him on as an apprentice. Basic story: While on the run from the Rebels, Clone Emporer Palpatine set his hyper drive and plotted a course, just before the jump his ship took a hit and knocked him off course, thus thrusting him light years away into an unknown region of the galaxy, our galaxy, when the jump was over he had little fuel left and spotted earth, landed in Europe and blended in with the humans, while using his force telekinetics, searching he found a promising apprentice "Crystal Ball", thus began a new order of tyranny, while being influenced by the Dark Side, The Emporer persueded Crystal Ball to get closer to Cobra Commander and to bring him to the Dark Side and to build the ranks of the new Mystic Order, while under cover Psyche Out interrogated a Cobra trooper and learned of the new plot and threat of the Mystic powers, it could spell disaster for the world, Leaders from the United Nations would be easily influenced, war and crime on a global scale, who better to take on this new threat for Global Domination than the newly formed GI Joe Mystic Force. Yes/No, maybe ???? |
