Yeah I got the email saying all that, but then I got another email saying it was revised in the computer and wanting me to ok it being revised.

I got emails saying that the release date had been pushed back (which I already knew), then I got the same cancellation email you did.

However, when I went to HTS, it is still available for order.
I placed an order for 2 more, and called them to see what was going on, and if my new order was going to be cancelled too.

They said that they had just run some updates on the site, and for some reason that item, as well as some others, temporarily went to a discontinued status, and the system automatically cancelled all open orders for those items. Then after the updates were finished it returned to the pre-order "available" status. They said it is still coming, and the expected ship date is still the 12/15/08 that the site says, and that if I just placed an order for it today, then it is a good order and wouldn't be cancelled.

Don't know how much I really believe them anymore, but I guess I will see whether or not they cancel my new order.

Actually I saw something like this on Rebel scum about the new General Grevious figure being disconinued and orders being cancelled while the rest of the wave is still going, so the explaination does have some merit.

would it happen to do with it having been up there for OVER A FREAKIN' YEAR?!?

and i didn't even preorder it...but still a huge disappointment.

I got the same thing, regarding my first order placed in January, that they cancelled the other day...

Personally I'd rather not take that one, since I saved the 10% on the reorder.

Edit: I called Hasbro: they did indeed cancel all preorders. If you still want the monster you have to reorder.
