Today, I had a little extra cash and decided to pick this pack up. I had originally intended to use the SS for a custom but and have the Firefly as a bonus but that SS proved to be useless. Also, let me just say this ismore a review of Firefly and the comic more than SS. Which is to say, this is the last you'll hear me discuss the SS figure. Starting...... now. I was originally going to pass this up all together but months ago Dosser put a doubt in my head when he said: Dosser wrote: The only thing I love more than tacos is this Firefly. I think you'll really regret it. Knowing how much Dosser loves tacos, this sat with me. After playing with Firefly for a bit, I decided to read the comic. Sally and the girls have all been talking about how great these comics were so I was expecting the next greatest thing since The Watchmen. Wow. When was Storm Shadow OR Firefly ever this chatty? I mean, I can see SS taunting Slice and Dice cause they're they Laurel and Hardy of ninjas, but I digress. When two bad ass characters spout lines like: Storm Shadow wrote: I love the smell of burning B.A.T.S in the night. It smells like... GAME OVER! and Firefly wrote: Your not-so-friendly neighborhood Firefly, showing off his ninja SMG skills! I almost put the book down. However, I'm glad I didn't as the ending where... was really cool. Anyway, if there are still those of you out there who don't have this (not likely) I would seriously recommend picking it up. |

Yeah, the comic was pretty terrible, they just haven't got it anymore. But firefly, wow, I bought a second comic pack so I could keep him in a ziplock(for when I lose all the original gear). He is one sweet sweet figure. |

If the entire pack had been just the gear, it still would have been worth it. I just have no idea why they decided not to go the extra half-step and make a completely DD accurate Storm Shadow. And yeah, the comic had horrible dialogue (...and seriously, how hard is this? Dice is the purple one, Slice is the red one). But it was great to see S&D get some ink time again. Now if they'd only release a two-pack with them in it.... |

The comic dialog was bad. I don't know if Larry Hama was just having a bad couple days when he wrote it or if somebody at Hasbro "helped" with the comic but it just had no magic AT ALL. I sure as hell wish that they would make a new version of Slice and Dice though, I'd LOVE to have them in 25th style too. |

I really dug the gear with these guys, I think it was worth the price for both of them. |

I don't remember ever making public my love for tacos, but anyhoo.... Its not just that the figure is super-cool, with lots of well thought-out 25th style accessories. When you open the backpack, you see that all these cool items that were originally just molded-in parts of the original are now all actually separate, removable pieces molded in different colors. But on top of that, they are really realistic. The flashlight looks exactly like a Mag-lite. The Gas can looks spot-on, the dynamite bomb looks very 80's hollywood and the multi-tool is not just some random tool, but in fact its actually a Gerber brand Multi-Plier. That is just ridiculous, people. On top of all that, you still get the old-school molded-into-the-backpack additional details. Best backpack evar. |

Hey, don't forget the awesome goggles! Yeah, the accessories really make this pack. That's why I got 2 too. (once they finally got here) Put 'em together with MJ's guns (I prefer HKs for Firefly; G36K, MP7 etc.) and Firefly is totally bad-ass! |
