Anyone want to post pics of the new purpley Snake Eyes that comes in the Pyramid of Darkness set? I haven't seen many good shots.

Bandy?

Whoa...are the colors that mismatched in person, or is that just the effect of camera flash? His head, arms, and lower legs look like an entirely different color than the rest of him.

Its just the flash from the camera, in person you can barely notice the color difference.

I didn't even notice it was still purple till the light hit it just right.

It's true, SE uses two different purple shades of plastic but it's not as noticeable, however I personally like the colour contrast as it makes the figure more asthetically appealing (plus it's a bonus that he's cartoon-accurate even down to the ammo clips or whatever they are around his ankles). Here's my favourite pose:

Image

This is quite possibly the best v2 SE I've ever seen, I love the sword and is very reminisant of his v2 sword ( I think it was pluv or nova that pointed out the sword is based on something else too). I gave him a Marauder's Inc Uzi:

Take a look at his webbing:

And here's a more *ahem* intimate look at his belts, buckle, and pouches:

A side profile shot:

And a mug shot, you can see the colour constranst but it's a personal preference, once the figure is in-hand it actually blends very well:

About the only thing I don't like about this figure is that Hasbro didn't remold his v2 backpack to carry the sword. In my universe SE is a commando before being a ninja, so I'd rather pose him with the uzi and it would have been nice to get a backpack to hold the sword like his ARAH v2 counterpart.

Yeah...the only way I'd ever keep one of these is if they redid it in black or very dark gray.

I can't deal with purpole on anything but a Cobra science troop.

Excellent. Thanks for the pics, Bandy. I'm really looking forward to this figure, since I'm a big Snake Eyes fanboy.

I assume that Hasbro will reissue this mold in black for a single pack, and will probably include a new version of his 85 backpack at that point. This figure is far to lovingly crafted to be meant for one DVD pack release.

You know, it would probably only take about a five minute dip in black RIT dye to solve the purple problem....

In TPOD he had a gray-purple hue...

Blue version...

He was also dark gray in the cartoon.

So yeah we could get plenty of repaints of :snakeeyes2: .

I suspect in that upcoming heroes 5-pack we'll see a black version of this SE. I think the other figures are Flint, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, and one other(?)

He'll look iconic in black for sure but strangely this purple hue really grows on you when you have him in person. I'm pleased as punch about this SE.

This mold, single-carded, correct artwork, packaged with Timber, and remolded backpack, all in black with grey highlights - will be the ultimate SE.

Further into the pictures that Goldbug posted with the purple hue, there's a grey:

That's all in the same cartoon so it obviously wasn't even consistant in the same show. That picture taken out of context is pretty funny too, hehe.
