Post subject:  where to get protech clear stands for vintage collection?
Hey guys, I need some help.

I use those clear circular pro-tech stands for my modern 25th anniversary collection. They make the display look pretty clean when compared to those opaque stands that come with the figures:

And I have been on a quest for similar stands for my vintage collection. I've seen pictures from other colletors (whom I can't find or remember right now) of their vintage collection on these clear pro-tech stands.

There are only a handful of eBay sellers that "claim" to carry these for vintage Star Wars/G.i. Joes, and I've tried (wasted money) on nearlly all of them. I lucked out recently with one seller who sent me the correct stand - with shorter/fatter peg for the wider holed vintage figures - and I've tried to reorder twice since then and both times (as recent as today) I've received narrow peg stands.

The seller was kind enough no to expect me to pay to ship them back but now I'm stuck with 40 newer peg stands and all I want are the vintage stands!

Anyone know where to get them? It's getting a tad frustrating now.

I use those stands my self, I have a good pile of them, but I just can't remember where I got them.
So not much help from me.

How ever, I would like to say that your display is great. So clean and even the file cards look cool.

soulgem: thanks for the comments, that's what I want to do with my vintage collection as well, and get rid of the opaque battle stands, the clear ones allow more light in between the shelves.

shadowdude: I checked, they're usually my first point of contact!

nova: If you were here right next to me I would plant a big smoochie wet one on your head :shifty: third down from the "action figure stands" bookmark link is exactly what I'm after.

The clear stands for vintage Joes have the peg nearer to the center of the stand and are shorter/fatter. Now I hope these guys ship to Canada!

I believe they will ship to Canada. I bought 1500 of those vintage stands from them a few years back but the shipping was horrendous because they were so heavy. Instead I shipped to a friend in New York for a fraction of the price. Picked them up on next visit.
