1993, more crap, less quality. A LOT of Joes.
Figures from Mega Marines, Ninja Force, Star Brigade, Streetfighter 2 and exactly the same copy mail-ins are not in.

Had to go with DUKE. That 1993 desert camo figure was extremely cool in its own right, and a nice apology for the one with the massive honker from the year before.

I also liked Long Arm, despite the color scheme (the 2008 Convention version -- LOVE it!), and Cross Country, if only because there's no way you could get away with that huge flag on the back of his jacket anymore without upsetting a lot of people.

SNOW STORM also had an extremely cool design.

BARRICADE had a cool uniform, but that headsculpt with the weirdly curled upper lip -- what was this, a lousy Elvis impression!?

I like Col. Courage and Frostbite with his old-school goalie mask, but I went with Iceberg. Looks a lot tougher than v1

Also had to go with Duke. He is still my favorite version of the character-very realistic uniform and camo-pattern,and even the weapons-sprue was in black plastic!

This one was a toss up.

This year was the best Duke I like , in any era, including the 25th line.

I liked Col. Courage, Long Arm (agree with the Convention colors), Bazooka, and Ace...

but Ultimately I went with Iceberg, cause of the rocket powered Skiboard and cool personalized missile launcher in stead of the generics everyone else had.

By the way, maybe you should make a seperate thread witht he team figures, as some of the other groups did have some good figures...

I don't know why there's so much hate for this year. Some of this toys are very cool and very fun to play with. I almost went with Backblast because I had that figure and loved it, but I stopped myself because even though I loved it then, I didn't know at the time that there was a version before it and it's much cooler. I went Gung-Ho. This vest tones down the weirdo vibe and he has a normal looking face now, instead of being all smushed in.

There are some great figures this year. Duke, General Flagg, Frostbite, Beachead, Cutter, Spirit and Sub Zero are all top notch figures well worthy of inclusion. But, my pick has to be the 93 Ace. For my money, it's the best pilot figure in the entire line. It has the great '92 body but with vastly improved colors. It's odd that such a good figure that's relatively hard to find is so cheap these days. But, the curse of '93 strikes, I guess.

Back when I first got back into Joes in '95, it was actually easier to still find '93 Joes on the shelves than it was '94's. As such, I have many fond memories of many of these figures.

I voted for Ace. Sure it’s just a repaint but it was a major improvement and it’s my favorite version of Ace.

Don't worry, I had that same idea from the beginning. I just don't want to do all those polls in like one month. After all the regular years it's the teams' turn, so polls for Ninja Force, Tiger Force, Sky Patrol, Python Patrol etc will show up eventually!

1. Colonel Courage. Excellent figure. Give him a black gun and a decent backpack, that really makes him look a lot cooler and as an officer that fights with his men!

2. Duke. Realistic soldier look, nice desert outfit.
3. Roadblock. Yeah, probably the best Roadblock from all versions.
