Saw some figures under the "Professional Bull Rider" and "Barrel Racing" label at a local farm and home store called Orscheln's. They're gearing up for Christmas and so have some toys in they normally wouldn't have. I snagged one of the PBR figures. He has good articulation, kind of a cross between PTE and the 3.75" wrestling figures.
Points of articulation:
Head - rotates
Shoulders - swivel and rotate
Elbows - pivot (think OG 13 Joes, only the elbow works side to side instead of up and down, to make him hold riding poses)
Wrists - rotate and pivot
Waist - rotates
Hips - swivel, rotate, pivot (PTE style only better executed)
Knees - single joint pivot
Ankles - rotate and pivot
He comes with a soft rubber cowboy hat and a soft rubber vest, as well as a pair of (very thin) vinyl chaps, held on with velcro. Honestly, for skirts, long coats, etc., this is the way Hasbro should go. It looks good but does not hinder articulation in any way.

Some out of package pics (one plain and one geared up):

These are made by Schylling, and if you go to their website, you can actually order these online for the same price Orscheln's had them. At the top of the page, mouse over catalog, then go to Rodeo Champions or Barrel Racing (if you go to Action/Adventure>>Action Figures, there's a John Wayne, also). There are horses, people (including a rodeo clown), bulls, fence, and a couple of playsets.

I think these are awesome and a John Wayne figure is damn near well 8-O
I'm a fan of the Duke.

Sadly he isn't online. I'm sure he'll turn up. Plus what is cool is there are female figs. I'll def get some of these around christmas, new year time when I save up a bit.

Can you post a pic of him next to a Joe fig?

Sucks they don't have the swivel bicep.

As you can see, they're a tad smaller than 25th Joes, but are about right for traditional style, if a bit thin. As background pieces, they'd be fine, and the female figures are the exact same height as the guys, so they'd fit in fine as standard women (though a smidge smaller than the heroic-sized females in the Joe-verse).

EDIT: It's a trick of the camera, or I held the camera at an odd angle, but he's not as much smaller as the pics look. The top of his head (without hat) actually comes to Dusty's eyes.

Are these the ones that have the "suggestive" names? And some come with horses and bulls?

Some do come with horses and bulls, but I did not notice any 'suggestive' names. The names appeared pretty mundane, and I just figured they were actual PBR names.

The reason I ask is Hawkeye/Pros from Dover found some cowboy figures with bulls and such a while back and I was wondering if these were the same ones. Those had suggestive names like Rex Rider and such.

That's cool. I just dug the package out of recycling and the guy I have is "Adriano Moraes", who google tells me is an actual bull rider. Granted, they could still be the same figures, just with "Official PBR" packaging.
One thing that intrigued me was, when I looked at the bulls and horses, they looked static with no joints. However, their website says the bulls at least "have jointed skeletons and life-like Bio-Skins that move freely ". Since I thought they were static PVC castings, I'd guess they're jointed critters with skin made from the same vinyl the chaps are made from. If the horses are like that too, I may need to snag one or two.

I picked up a few of the female figures last year at a discount store. Great figs with nice head sculpts (I used one for my Stature from the Young Avengers custom)

If you just sand down the belt buckle and the spurs of the boots they make great civilian figures.

Yep that description of the horses and bulls leads me to think these ARE the same ones we've seen before, just with new names and packaging. Cool.
