Well, I finally found the Jodo Kast I've been looking for -- and was super excited until I opened it.

The paint job is great - and until you start playing with it, it looks awesome. Then you realize that it has that stupid "action-attack" feature that Boba came with a few years back (push on the rocket, his arms fly up to "shoot" you )

On top of that, he's a dwarf:



How come they can make some pretty decent Mandos for the recent comic packs (Tobbi & Fenn use the Boba/Jango Evo molds), but when it comes time to do a single-pack "fake" Mando, they put the best paint job on the crappiest parts? At least the legs are new, but the upper body sucks. Hell - if they're going to use "jet-flames" Boba for the mold, at least give us some friggin' jet-flames!

I picked up two of him last Sunday. That figure looks cool . . . but that's about it.

That's disappointing. I was hoping they used the superior VOTC mold that the used for the 30th anniversary Boba Fetts.

This is why I am pretty much done with Star Wars.

That's why i skipped him and went for the Fett Legacy 3-pack.

maybe he's the crappy sculpt because he is a fake?

maybe some guy at hasbro actually read starwars tales and when it came down the pipe that they were going to make a Jodo figure he was like "screw that lying bastard, whats the crappiest modern mando i can find?"

I saw him last night and almost got him, until I saw the articulation and put him back. If I want him that badly, I will get another articulated Boba Fett and paint him.

Jodo Kast is a distinct disappointment for me, despite his apparent popularity (i.e. I haven't even seen one in person!). I was looking forward to him until I started hearing details like this. Not as well articulated as he should be, other such matters. It really is a little discouraging that the superior "Fett" molds were used for the more garishly colored characters from the comics set (not that there's anything wrong with them on their own), and this interesting individual character comes up short.

Unlike Goldbug, it's not enough to put me off Star Wars, but it's a disappointment.

BTW, is it just me, or does that one figure on the far right look a little like Bruce Willis?

You did say "at hasbro" right? More like "Which craptastic figure can I repaint next, oooh, that one looks nice, and we don't have picky fans to leave him on the shelf."

Well it isn't just Jodo Kast it is all the other figures that get short changed also. I just no longer want to search for a figure only to find it has bad articulation. Then to wait until Hasbro releases one with the better articulation screwing over the people who bought the first version.

yeah i saw him thurs. or friday morning at a walmart that had put out the newest wave finally. and yeah, he is a disappointment. i'd wanted the figure since i first saw him on the back listing for the wave, but if he's got this crap articulation while the other two nobodies get the VOTC treatment for *#()&$) comic packs...no. not buying it. or the runt fugly jedi set either. but tempted to. but not for what they're trying to charge.
