I know that the 25th Joe items are all about iconic characters and vehicles and all, but with the movie likely to change things somewhat I wonder if we will see the Thunderwing on shelves again. I have to think it holds the taller 25th figures, and it has such a tremendous amount of playability for kids I think it would do extremely well with Joe more in the puplic eye again. Hasbro has to have all the molds handy, and I doubt the price point would have gone over $35-$40 yet I haven't heard it even being mentioned. I personally love the design and engineering that went into this thing and am disappointed I only grabbed one. Anyone have any information that I missed?

Doubt It.

With all these new vehicles comming out based on the Movie and Resolute. Its probably unlikely that the Thunderwing will be re released. Not to mention the 25th line seems to be driven by 80's nostalgia, so most likely we may see more classic vehicles than modern.

....but then again, seeing as the mold is still fresh, if enough people ask for it,.. who knows?

It's possible, in the movie line. Depends on what's shown in the skies in the film.

Has there been a lot of information about what vehicles are coming out in relation to the movies and Resolute? I imagine it was discussed at the con, but I don't remember hearing any specifics. Nostalgia does drive the 25th items, and I am great with that. I can hold out hope that they will find ways to re-release the Night Raven or Tomahawk even if it takes some mold recreation.

I agree then that the hope falls to the movie. Anybody hear of vehicle useage in the filming? A Thunderwing or even Night Attack Copter would be a nice addition. I was also curious if they would try to roll a new RHINO into the film to take advantage of that awesome mold.

actually, they didnt tell us much of anything about the toy releases from the movie. They DID say there were a few large vehicles being released, and most, if not all, vehicles were heavily modified sculpts, or all brand new molds.

The Skystriker in Resolute is based on the FY-23 not the F-22 like the Thunderwing, so I doubt we would be seeing the Thunderwing again.

The Joint Strike Fighter and the Raptor are pretty close in appearance ( in the way the Mig-29 and F-15 are).

I wouldn't put it passed Hasbro to fudge a bit and release a Thunderwing in Resolute Skystriker deco. Whatever that may be.

Personally I'd rather see a new YF-23 Black Widow II
But I'd really love to see the Wyvern from that video game. Its like the YF-23, but its wings fold either way.

I think I'd rather see a re-do of the Night Raven or Tomahawk (although my wallet wouldn't).

JollyRoger was saying in chat that there was a released pic of Ripcord standing next to the F-35 JSF. So maybe we'll get that. I didn't get a Thunderwing and wouldn't mind having one but I'd much rather see the F-35 or the F-23.

Screw All That. I still NEED an Aurora Bomber. Make it happen, H. ;-)

I hope not. I never cared for that vehicle or any of the JvC/Spytroops/VvV ones. It looked way too much like a Tonka designer made it.
An F-35 Lightning II(JSF) would be great as long as the Tonka designers aren't involved.! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-35_Lightning_II

Actually the Thunderwing jet was ok,.. it was just too bulky because of the rapid fire missile and Bombing systems (plus the trigger)

If it were more streamlined, it would be a pretty good fighter, especially since its a 2 seater, and has much more playability due to its smaller size. That was my problem with the Skystriker and Night Raven, they were just too damned big to play with effectively.

if they can make the new fighter roughly the size of the COnquest, that would be perfect.

With so many great jets in the GI Joe past hopefully they will keep going in the right direction as they did with the target exclusives and never make another Thunderwing it seemed like more of a preschool ages toy than something worth collecting.

If they were to take the http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/92/stormeagle/ and take the water cannon and handle off, redesign the cockpit to hold 2 figs, and give it a little better landing gear it'd be a sweet plane. That is after all the YF-23 that people said they saw in the resolute series as the new Skystriker mk 2. Though a 2 seat F-35 would kick all kinds of butt as well.

could be rereleased as part of the movie line to make it bigger than the movie line acutally is....there were quite a few older mold transformers rereleased as part of the movie line with a new deco on them. maybe an exclusive for target or tru?
