Its cool to hear others struggling with the same things that I am. We (me, wife, and child) had an apartment with a good size basement. My wife hates the basement so it was all mine. And I packed it full of joes. By the time we moved you could barely navigate around to look at everything crammed in there.
So, yay, we finally buy a house. Much bigger than the apartment. But no real basement. What was I thinking. Now there is no where to display the Joes. For three years now the bulk of my collection is sitting in the crawl space.
I continually think about selling large sections of it. Even just selling the army builders and duplicates would be a huge space saver. But I just can't bring myself to do it.
The problem is now I get no enjoyment from my collection. Just the frustration of knowing it is there, but never doing anything with it. I haven't even gotten back into much customizing. All my pieces parts are buried in the tubs with the rest of the collection.
So I continue to debate - start selling some of it. Or hope for a day we buy a new house.
At one point I almost sold everything just to end the agony.
That's why i decided to sell, no room to display and running out of room to store them, something had to be done, if you sit down and think about it, you'll find an answer.
