Have they replied to you with any positive indications they'd entertain this idea or are we simply letter-writing to express our interest? Either way I'll shoot 'em an email. Worst they can do is say no. I'd suggest that anyone writing mention how much you spend with BBTS and how much more you would spend if they carried the Chap Mei stuff we've all been craving. Dollar signs speak louder than you might think. |

I looked into this myself awhile back, and from a wholesale point of view from a small business, it wasn't worthwhile in the least. Big Lots retail price is around what wholesale would be for a small retailer. |

I was hoping to eventually see some of the larger sets available. John, would it be worth you getting some of the sets if people could pre-order them? I know I'd pay upfront to get them. |

Wouldn't a small retailer benefit from carrying the larger items you never seem to find at Big Lots or Toys R Us? Examples: Rocket Rig Flatbed Rig Harrier Transport Chopper Bad Guyz Truck P-40 The smaller units you can find, but an online source for the rest would rock. |

i can look into it again. if i recall, it was about 2 years ago when i first opened joearmory.com. as a collector/customizer myself, i typically have an idea what fellow joe fans want. ill see what i can find out again. i dont have the contact info anymore, cause i dumped it after i decided not to pursue the idea. if memory serves, the wholesale cost combined with the minimum order amount didnt sit well with me at the time. back when i had my store in CA, i used to carry warhamme 40k products, and that experience was a total waste of time, cause i had to pay 50% of retail, with a 5k minimum order, it just wasnt worthwhile, and i STILL have warhammer stuff leftover, almost 10 years later. i dont think i even got as far as seeing catalogs or products available in the US. |

ZG, This may be a dumb question, and I apoligize for going off the thread, but what are the general percentage of retail and minimum orders when buying in bulk? Not that I would have any interest in doing so, just curious at what point to the chain stores start losing money on their clearance items. |

Not that I would have any interest in doing so, just curious at what point to the chain stores start losing money on their clearance items. i think it differs based on the wholesale and the retailer. walmart for example pays a heck of a lot less wholesale for everything they sell as opposed to a mom and pop store whose wholesale is typically more than walmarts wholesale price. if you can spend millions of dollars in merchandise from a manufacturer, theyre gonna give you some nice deals to keep you coming back. if you only spend small thousands with that same manufacturer, and dont put in consistent orders, theyre not gonna bend over backwards for you. often times they are happy to work out finace payments to help you break down the cost overall, but if you wonder why smaller joe dealers have higher prices on joes than walmart, kmart, target or TRU, thats why. |

I did my part and sent them an email, they have replied and said they will pass on the info to the president of BBTS.com, they also said that my email was not alone in requesting Chap Mei products, so show your support peoples, send BBTS.com an email today.
