1990, still not a bad year at all IMO.
Sonic Fighters are not in.
Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)!

Range viper and Laser viper are both cool army builders, but Decimator gets my vote. Terrific mold, a headpiece that just screams sub-sea villain, and a harpoon gun to impale those joes.

No contest for me at all -- Laser-Viper. Liked the name, like the design of the figure (although I thought he looked better without the weird helmet).

Rock-Viper would be a close second, although the fact that if you army-built them, they ALL had a little mustache was a bit strange.

Range-Viper was just too strange, in color choices and helmet design. The helmet worked a BIT better for an individual like Skullbuster, and for something like Cobra Commander's Imperial Guard. I also tend to think the Club's desert-colored Range-Viper was a vast improvement.

Weirdest on the year had to be the Vapor, though. Weird name, cool uniform, butt-ugly asymmetrical off-color helmet that made him look like a B.A.T. :-/

This isn't a bad year for Cobra, but I think the '90 Joes were stronger. I love the Range Viper and it's one of my most used army building figures. But, overall, I have to go with the Rock Viper due to accessories. I'm a sucker for figures with ropes and the working pack of the Rock Viper combined with the colors makes for a great figure that fills a need in the Cobra army. Decimator is a close second, but loses out since I really see him as a character rather than an army builder.

The toughest poll.....ever!

I have many Laser Vipers, Night Creepers, SAW Vipers, Undertow and even Vapors and like the rest though they are harder to get complete

But since I happen to have 27 complete Night Creepers, I'll go with them by default

I voted for Rock Viper simply because my college girlfriend gave it to me (got it from a friend's brother) and I gave him the name Conrad. I made a movie with him as the star. He had a Mexican accent and was stuck on watch duty.

no-brainer for me, Night Creepers were cool in the comic, they were cool as toys. Here is the rare occassion were I aboslutely love ninjas! the night creeper concept was super cool. Only two nit-picks: 1) was never into their leader, I liked the blind-master thing but the orange tiger stripes? 2) night creeper curvey swords were bleh.

I was right in my prediction of the night-viper in '89 so I'll once again go out on a limb and predict Night Creeper as taking this year for Cobra!

Like back in the 85 poll I love divers and I went with undertow. great sculpt and gear. except maybe the fish?? And even though hes a little wacky vapor would be #2 for me, ( the con air viper repaint is excellent )

Undertow. I was torn because I really did like the Range Viper concept, and the Rock Viper too. If I remember, I picked up Range, Rock, Saw and Undertow all on the same day. A very cool day.

Undertow,Rock Viper,and Laser Viper are excellent as well.

This was a tough choice for me... Probably my 2nd most favourite year after 1986. (Nothing can beat the Viper BAT 1-2 punch - although '85 is pretty close) but this is up there. Rock-Viper was a very close second and Laser-Viper was up there too.
