Glad I preordered this wave, as I know I won't see all of them in stores. Some great looking figures in this wave. Not sure about the Pilot Scarlett though. And what happened to Flints nose/face? That EEL is outstanding.

YEa this is a great wave, other than that funky ass Annhilator. So, what, did they just put Zartan's chest on Gung-Ho's lower torso and give him new arms?

Seems like that would have been more their style in the first place....

This wave has a lot of poor ideas.

Matt Trakker... why? MASK was a poor attempt at merging GIJoe with Transformers, but without robots, which is why it failed.
His spot could've been better used by an actual Joe.

Pilot Scarlett, just like Ninja-Ku Leader before him, is a case of "so close yet you fail". Ninja Ku Leader tried to homage Ninja-Ku, but they completely forgot all about the fact that Ninja-Ku was black. So instead you just ended up with Storm Shadow in black. Pilot Scarlett is Glenda, but they forgot Glenda has blonde hair.

Old school Zartan is bloody awesome though. But his swamp skier looks... drastically undersized.

Flint in disguise - meh, most will head swap him for a new cobra trooper
Glenda - I like the colours, may get her to flesh out more chicks on the team
Matt Trakker - meh, should have been an IG Annihilator

Airborne - awesome win

I collected and enjoyed MASK back in the day but I couldn't agree more.

Complete waste of a release slot that could have been used for a Joe or Cobra who has never seen the light of day (i.e., Billy, Dr. Venom, Pythona or even Big Lob, etc.)

I have been kicking around the idea of buying that Trakker figure when I see it, smashing it to pieces and sending it to Hasbro with a nice feedback letter explaining why.

I'm not being snarky. I just strongly feel they shouldn't mix lines like this.

Other than that, these other releases have been spot on. They are really putting a lot of attention to detail in these figures and it clearly shows through.

Matt Trakker...while I could care less about MASK, today and in the 1980s, I DO give the design team an A+ for reaching out to make us, the collector, happy.

They may not have hit a home run with this figure, but the effort and the though to please us is obviously there. Would I have preferred something else? Of course. But those 'something elses' are still coming...this figure was an attempt to see how something 'non-Joe' added to the line would be accepted.

Roddy Piper & Sgt Slaughter were accepted into the line with open arms, Fridge and Matt Trakker weren't.

To each his own, but I can see this figure becoming a hot property as Joe fans AND M.A.S.K. collectors scoop them up en masse.

Airborne again a great tribute to a great figure

Zartan is how he should've been from the start of the 25th line

Pilot Scarlet is a cool clin d'oeil to an international figure

Flint in disguise, cool idea from the cartoon but I feel he should've been in the Revenge of Cobra boxset since its where this idea comes from. Now I'll need two and a second Mutt to complete that scene when they meet Shipwreck.

Matt Tracker, ok I understand the negativity, but for me its almost a dream come true since I loved MASK almost as GIJoe as a kid and I wished they were the same scale and to have one of my favorite character from that line to join GI Joe is really cool.

The great thing about Joe is that there is a little something for everybody. Don't like Cobra La, fine, it never happened. Don't like Destor's son, fine, it never happened. Don't like anything that isn't 100% realistic fine, ignore everything else. Don't like things that are 100% realistic, fine, ignore everything that is. Don't like (fill in the blank) as a character, fine he/she/it doesn't exist.

Personally I think Matt will be hated until people get him in their hands and start liking the figure and finding a place for him in their universe.

Matt Trakker and Airborne will be the hardest figures to find along with Zartan. It doesn't matter who says they like what, they'll be selling out everywhere. It's a nice looking wave and now that Zartan has a new outfit, Major Bludd doesn't look like he's wearing Zartan's hand me down clothes anymore.

Yea... Sgt. Slaughter is in my Joeverse, but only because Larry Hama actually made him vaguely interesting to me in the comic. Roddy Piper? Fridge? Not a chance. Ever.

Matt Trakker? Mmmmaybe. My biggest problem is that I already have a character named Tracker that I actually like.
