1985. A lot of nice figures so choosing the one favorite will be tough. Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)! http://www.yojoe.com/action/85/ Tim 121RVC |

Eel for me. This was my X-mas present that I picked out in 1985. I was drawn to the cool accessories at the time. |

Eel for me too. I remember when I got mine, I was at Hart with my Dad and I had to choose between the Eel or the twins. I went with the Eel and never regretted it. |

I have to let out my dirty little secret and say it was Torch for me. Not because i loved the Village People, but I thought his sculpt looked so unique and cool. From his mutton-chops, down to the skull necklace, this guy looked badass. On his 25th anniversary figure he's got the Melbourne MotorCycle Club logo on the pack of the jacket - that's just awesome. Loved the shade of blue of his trousers and the contrast with his grey boots. I know Torch was portrayed as a bit of a goof in the cartoon/comics but for me he was the coolest of the cool Dreadnoks. |

Went with T & X. I'm not a fan of any of those army builders and I couldn't choose one Dreadnok over another |

Seems I went with the current majority because I chose the Cobra Eel. Best diver figure EVER in the line! Tomax and Xamot were also contenders, though. |

I've got to go with the Eel, too. For me, it's the only '85 Cobra that was never eclipsed or equalled by another, similar specialty figure later in the line. The accessories, colors and sculpt are perfect. I'm actually amazed at how cheap they are these days considering all that. |

Eels for me as well, fav army builder in the whole line. Awsome colors, weapons and mold. |

The EEl was the coolest, but I Picked Tomax & Xamot... mainly because i wanted one cause of those commercials back in 85. "So far things have been easy, but now theyre gonna get real hard! Corba has got, evil Twin Brothers, Leaders of the Crimson Guard!" |

1985 has some of the most popular army builders. Perhaps only beaten by BATs and Vipers. The Snow Serpents almost had my vote, but I had to go with Buzzer. The chainsaw is beyond silly, but the gas can is removable! Good sculpt. Cool hair. Hasbro even put in some jokes in the Dreadnoks' names. One of my first Joes. Got it from my sister. |

This may be the toughest year to pick a favorite cobra, but I went with Eels too. Snow Serpent was a VERY close second, cool figure and maybe the best/most RAH accessories ever - the determining factor was the lack of flexibility of the snow serpent - even though the eels are water based, I found more use for them. |

This will be one of toughest choices from all the (upcoming) polls. Bandalero wrote: but I thought his sculpt looked so unique and cool. I know Torch was portrayed as a bit of a goof in the cartoon/comics but for me he was the coolest of the cool Dreadnoks. I totally agree, so Torch got my vote too. I didn't get him until a few years ago from Ebay. As a child I got into Joes right after this year disappeared in the stores and I only knew him from one G.I.Joe-folder. I also seldom saw him in the cartoons broadcasted in Europe and not at all in comics distributed here, so he got this legendary status. VERY close seconds are Snow Serpent, Eel and Crimson Guard. SS and Eel for the marvellous presentation of their PMS in mold and accesoires, CG for his cool elite look. Tim 121RVC |

A VERY tough choice,as 1985 might be the best year for Cobra. EEL,the Crimson Guard,Lamprey, they are all favorites of mine, but the coolest is the Snow Serpent! Look at his uniform, mask, and gear.Read his Filecard. They just scream Bad@$$! A very worthy foe for the Joe-team. -Dave |
