Seriously... I know everyone's fired up about the upcoming toys, but Resolute is where all the excitement is at for me right now... it looks amazing.

As everyone checked out the character art at HissTank and ENI? Woooow. I know purists will flip out about some of the changes, but hoooooly crap. It's like Sigma 6 on steroids, but more "real world", more adult, and with toys at a 3 3/4" scale. It's G.I. Joe perfection in my eyes.

That version of Destro is a total reinvention of the character, and I am in love with the cyborg aspects...that opening robotic arm with the built-in rocket launchers? Dayamn!!

While everyone drools over how historically (in)accurate that "Dataframe" figure is, I'll be soaking in the awesome new concepts that Resolute is bringing to the screen and to the toyline... hell yeah!

Justin

I really liked what they did with Stalker. He's always been my favorite original Joe team member. His new look for Resolute looks all kinds of Bad@$$, which is how it should be.

The Resolute Snake Eyes is just about my favorite version of him. I can't wait to get him in figure form.

I love all the art and character designs. I'm even ok with cyborg Destro. However, it does feel to me like cyborg Destro is going to be yet another example of how lazy artists get in regards to his mask. It seems that everyone just *has* to be able to have a Destro with a mask capable of expression so we get stuff like the DD comic where it's some ultra-advanced Transformers face or this where he's a cyborg (and I bet the mask either ties into that or is just like the DD comic).

Seriously... why's it so hard for him to just wear a static mask? Iron Man can't smile, so why should Destro need to?

I like Stalker, and Airborne is bad-ass. I'll wait to get excited until one of you yahoos who has actually seen the trailer leaks it to the internet. ;-)

I'm with the General, I am REALLY looking forward to this new series. Sigma 6 was OK, but the problem was that it was written for little kiddies. Warren Ellis on the other hand, being the flaming maniac that he is, has probably come up with something aimed at the older crowd of Joes fans. The animation, even though it's not a Japanese studio, seems along the lines of "Ghost In The Shell" so that satisfies my inner Anime fan, a LOT!

This year it's about the action figures and vehicles, but next year . . . it's all about the Resolute!

Those are great. I'm really excited about this show. I hated Sigma 6. Awesome toys. Worst cartoon since that Transformers one with Pokemon-acting Cybershark. This on the other hand, looks like something we can actually appreciate.

actually the animation company is the same company that made AVATAR, the last airbender. We saw the trailer at Joecon, but they blocked any pictures or recording of the clip (hopefully, people at SDCC had more luck)

I still think it's out there somewhere. You saw those 3 people that got up just after the clip aired. All 3 had laptops and looked like they were about to trip over themselves to get out the door. They're probably just sharing with friends and the friends of the friends haven't shown their friends enough so it ends up online.

I know I can't wait after seeing the clip. It was great. Even with any changes they drop in, I can't see where it wouldn't be good. Yeah maybe a few things might be annoying or something, but nothing that would knock it down from being as good as it is.

I would *heart* G.I. Joe Resolute...if I actually saw a clip from it. The way that people are talking about it, I'm afraid it's never going to live up to the hype. This is the problem with marketing like this...it sets up unattainable expectations.

I really think if the actual show stays true to that clip we saw, there's no doubt that people will like it. There will always be a few that will have to say they hate it, but this is one that I think a majority of us will get behind. Now that SDCC is done, I just wish they'd put the clip up.

Looks pretty decent. Top picks go to Airborne, and I really like the update given to The Flagg. Pays homage to the original with some futuristic updates. G.I. Joe, in any media (comic, toon, toys) has always had a futuristic twinge to it, while still militaristic in nature.

Hopefully Airborne won't be one of the "couple of characters that die in the first five minutes".
