Battle force 2000 gets a bad name as a rediculous fad back in 1986. But I dont think their so bad. The Vector jet is cool looking, and the other vehicles do serve a function. I use my force as a security attachment to protect the Defiant Complex.

so,.. what do you think?

I own the Sky Sweeper and Vector Jet because they are the only vehicles in the set that I thought looked decent. The others for the most part are terribly ugly. I was never a big fan of BF2000.

To be totally honest on this, I never really cared for the BF2000 sub-group. They were a little before their time, as I think they might have gone over better with me if they would have came out later with all the other space and future releases. Granted these were better than that stuff in the '90s, with paint color, accessory color/choice, and vehicles. The '90s would have been much better, IMO If they would have carried over those things from the BF2000.

The other thing I really didn't like was the cheapness of the vehicles. If they would have put a little more into them I think I would have liked them more.

I have used some of the weapons for Star Wars custom, but other than that they don't really fit into my world.

They dont bother me.

i always took them (and many other vehicles) as prototypes that were being field tested. some worked great, others failed miserably at key times.

I like the concept, the group, just not the vehicles necessarily.

R-I-P.

to me, they are lame now. I never had them as a kid, so no real assumption can be made. I think that they are so out of date now they look funny. However, I love the mega-marines. I kinda see the MM as the sucessors to BF2K, and like ZG said, BF2K was the prototype. I'd love to see a new BF3K, but I kinda think they are Sigma 6

The only one I liked in it was Maverick and the Vector. But I'm a big aircraft buff and the Special Mission comic that featured the two of them kinda made me want to get them. But the others meh. In my verse its Maverick who survived cause he was in the jet in the air. The rest died. R.I.P.

Awesome vehicles.

50/50 on the figures,

Blocker, Dodger and Maverick have cool sculpts. Avalanche is okay... he just looks weirdly chubby. Knockdown and Dee Jay........uhhhh.... just not good.

I love them. I have a passion for the 1987 figures, and can honestly say I like all of them. The BF2K included. I worn out several of them during my play-day, and have recently bought them MOC in the two-packs, only to open them and play with them some more lol.
Knockdown and Blaster are my favs. I also like Dodger cause he survived. Avalanche was my favourite back then, same with Maverick. They are all cool.

Don't own the vehicles, sadly.

Never had Vehicles as they didn't come with any drivers.....The figures I enjoyed, except for blocker, he was boring.

They al did seem fat to me, so I used them as older men who were out of action for awhile....DeeJays gun never saw any action.

I only had blaster as a kid. I used him as a pilot of my other Conquest.

I made a custom team a while back they are training on the army's new land warrior system. My Dodger is a Cameo Custom

Not nearly as nice though.

I like them all, except Avalanche and his "snow tank." The concept was great, the execution was mostly cool, but why saddle this elite force with a very specific environmental vehicle and trooper??

When it came out, I thought it was an interesting concept. I picked up a vehicle or two but never got the whole set.

Not a stupid idea since they were really prototype vehicles. As with the other Joe sub-teams, they added a different flavor to the Joes.

I always liked the different sub-teams because it allowed the brand to branch off and include other areas of interest but still give fans a chance to pick and choose what they wanted to collect.

The sub-teams were definitely important complimentary contributors to the Joe brand.

Offhand, I can't remember another toy line that lasted over 40 years whose toy releases included adventurers, aircraft carriers, space shuttles, stealth fighters, soldiers, ninjas and space aliens.

I liked the concept but the execution was very limited. The figures are ok. Maverick and Dodger are the only ones I really liked and still have. The Vecor is ok but none of the vehciels are overwhleming and the base they combine to form is probably the least thought through concept in the entire line. They could have done soemthign really cool there in a Transformers cross-over kind fo way with the base and they didn't.

The best thing that ever happened to them was being blown to embers.

But there definitely is room for a "BF2K Initiative"... a small sect of Joes that are dedicated to testing/improving all the futuretech the Joes seem to use. Not a dedicated fighting team with transforming vehicles that form a stupid fort. Scientists, mechanics, Trigonometrists and test pilots/drivers that get raw material from the government (like the HAVOC and General) and figure out how to make them into something that the Joe team can use.

That said, I love Dodger, and the fact that he survived an unsurvivable situation. In my Joeverse, he totally has mental problems now... not crazy or dangerous, just troubled. Did he survive because he's meant for a higher purpose, or is he just invunerable. In the interest of protecting the innocent, he'll try any crazy trick, strap on any untested machine, and rush headlong into the most dangerous situations, either assured he'll be fine or not particularly caring either way.

Each time he successfully completes a mission with his loose cannon attitude, it strengthens his resolve to keep going as he's been... and while Hawk and Duke are legitimately afraid for his life, they also know he's the kind of soldier an all-volunteer unit needs... one who always says yes and (so far) has a 100% success rating!
