I got tired of waiting for my set from BBTS, so I got the main 4 I wanted from eBay. Now it's just the waiting game.

I already have a couple 5" Weeping Angels that I used in a Castle Frankenstein dio, that will display fantastically with these, and even though I enjoyed the "Cold War" episode, the Martian didn't feel like a "need to get" figure. Maybe later. So I've got the Doctor, Clara, Dalek, and Cyberman on the way with a TARDIS in my BBTS POL.

Can't wait!

Over here in the UK, we currently have a fortnightly magazine and figurine coming out:

http://www.dw-figurines.com/?gclid=CLSI ... tAodAUcAyA

The first figurine of the 11th Doctor really is tiny and is definitely 1:21 scale. The Nu-Series Davros has just come out. I bought it because it looked okay. They claim that all of the figurines are proportionate to 1:21, but I think that this Davros is just shy of 1:18. Took a couple of pics. The first is a comparison shot with the 1:18 Dalek:

The second is with a couple of figures that were lying around:

Davros does not move around much so a metal figurine works well for him. I saw some Classic Series Daleks on the television advert. I am hoping they will be a similar size. If they are, I will have to buy a couple at least. I would subscribe, but I would end up with a pile of tiny figures I don't want, and the Dalek Emperor that comes with a subscription is ony about 1:42 scale.

I see that one figure and can't help but wondering about a custom Captain Pike from the Menagerie.

Heh, didn't even know there was a Doctor Who thread on here. Here are some pics I did comparing them to various figures and shots of the Dalek Invasion dio. (I haven't put together the Cold War dio yet, but I have it).

those new Cybermen look like you could use a Silver Centurion Iron Man body and a cast head and have pretty much a 1:18th scaled Cyberman

I have seen all of one episode of Dr. Who, it was with the curly haired guy with the rainbow scarf.
I am indifferently about these figures. Unless we get the red head police woman. I want that figure.
In full scale.
And alive.

If you have the BBC America channel you should check out the Doctors Revisited shows that they've been doing. They give a nice over view of each doctor, and the actors who played them. It's a good way to kind of get 'up to speed' on Doctor Who, in a cliff notes kind of way.
If you ever get the chance you should check out some of the newer Doctor Who episodes. I like David Tennant, but I really like Matt Smith.

I had never been a HUGE Doctor Who fan, but I always enjoyed it. I've been getting caught up a bit, lately, and really enjoy the more recent episodes I've seen.

I really like the figures, I just wish I could get a hold of more Daleks and Cybermen for cheaper than the $20+ that I generally see them for.

A line of 3pack armybuilders for $40 would be awesome.

That was the fourth most Americans think of him, Netflix has the classics ( just a few per Doctor)

Just out of curiosity, do they show any of the black and white episodes?

Nope. It also has a small collection of the classic episodes.

Last time I looked they had the first episode from the first doctor. An Unearthly Child. I thought they had one or two from every Doctor?

If you get hold of 'The Beginning' box set, it has the first version of 'An Unearthly Child' with the original dialogue. Plus an unedited 35 minute studio recording.
