I would have bought MULTIPLES of Zarana at retail. Instead I bought none. Explain how it is a good business move to do it like that at all, and then I'll be happy for them.
Can't get retailers to buy in most likely. And if Hasbro can't convince retailers that it's a good idea, then it's not a good idea for them.
And you guys are being waaaay too optimistic on the vehicle drivers. They'll have ball jointed necks, swivel shoulders and t-crotch hips, looks like the motorcycle pack ins have hinge knees too, just like all of the other movie lines Hasbro has done lately. I'm still surprised that the reduced amount of parts brings the cost down so much that making new molds is still cheaper than using existing tooling, but that's apparently how it is. I'm more disappointed that the main line figures have inconsistent articulation. Cobra Commander definitely has no ankle joints, and he, Roadblock, and probably Duke and the Cobra Trooper only have single jointed knees. And I am bummed that we won't be getting a fully articulated version of the Swamp Viper. Pretty decent offering overall though. I just want it to be successful enough that the momentum allows the team to move back into something like PoC. Also looks like they won't be doing nearly as much product this time around, which is probably a good idea.
Hoping a movie accurate Jinx and Lady Jaye are coming, and I'll try and get the SDCC Jinxes. I've had good luck so far with those. Trick is to get one on ebay during the con. Got Zarana for $30 . . . and don't forget that the Joe con is about a week away from SDCC, so they may up production and sell some there as well.
