The question has also been asked over at the Mezco forums. So far no answer.

I would think it's just too soon for them to know themselves. The figs have only been on the shelves for about a week or two now. Altho the web pre-orders did get sold all out, I'd guess they're waiting to see how the TRU sales do before committing themselves one way or the other on wave 2. I don't wanna jinx it, so I won't say which way my gut says.

Which in itself is you stating your feelings, Jimbo. ;-)

Honestly, I've barely seen these figs in my area. It's not because we arent getting them, it's because TRU is not able to keep up with people buying them. With the pre-orders selling out and the way they are rushing out of stores, I would hazard a guess that we will see wave 2.

<--- Not afraid to jinx. :-)

If the second wave doesn't come out, I'm so totally putting my boot straight thru the Internet into your ass, man.

Mezco does have a rep for taking thier time though. It was a full year between waves of the the Larger Helboy figures from the first movie.

Got mine today from TRU.com --

Red is awesome - I was gonna just use his head and maybe a few other parts to upgrade my 25A Hellboy, but I think I'll leave him as-is. I got the closed-mouth version (might have to look for the other one now) and my only complaint is the lack of a right elbow. My custom has an elbow AND a removable jacket, but the "real" one is still way better.

Liz is too small - like, smaller than the smallest Princess Leia small. I got two for customs, but I guess they'll be teenager/pre-teen girl customs, because even her head is tiny and unusable with 25A bodies, IMO.

I haven't seen the second movie yet, so I don't know who Wink is, but the figure is pretty sweet. Great sculpting & articulation.

I think these are my first-ever Mezco figs -- I'm impressed so far.

AFter you guys gushed on and on about the figures I couldn't resist. Picked up the only Hellboy they had left. Open mouth version. Almost got Liz but she just isn't cool enough. They had a few of her anyway so I can go back. No Johann at all. And about 20 Winks or so.

Out of package Hellboy plain rocks. I don't know how anyone can be into 1:18 scale figures and not own this figure. I do wish his might fist had an elbow joint but it isn't like they skimped anywere else. His tail has three PoA. 8-O The coat is really nice. Very soft felxable rubber that had me worried it would rip at first. After playing with it I'm postiive it will be fine especially since the jacket held bunched up behind his holster all night all by itself. Because his Smaritan pistol is rubbery I was able to get it to break open like a reall revolver. Totally unintentional but still kind of neat. Also I was little upset they had done sucha great job with making him look cool and giving him articulation and not inlcuding ankle swivel. Then I saw the pin in the bakc of his foot. So he has the up and down in the ankle and then a rolling ankle in his foot which is a neat way to do that particular body movement. It feels like a stronger joint anyway.

The only negative I have at all is that his hip swivel doesn't stay straight. It makes me think that is why the Joe designers left that PoA out of the 25th figures for so long. While palying with him, every once and a while his abs would slowly start shifting off to the left. Otherwise I'd give this guy 10 out of 10.

I splurged on myself and got a closed mouth "Red".

The normal hand broke right out of the package. It is now returned. :-/

Liz is by and far one of the best purchases i have EVER made.
it is one of the few retail figs i actually sought out and purchased.
In terms of articulation the only complaint was the diaper crotch but an exacto took care of that within a min or two. The wrist swivels are a little high but given the thin wrists that is ok and at least there is a swivel

The height is perfect for a really tiny figure which is perfect because it gives the type of variety that i like in my universe and which is difficult to find and retain articulation.

The only real downside are the paint apps are a little messy but other than that AWESOME figure.
