I dunno, I mean, I love the OT to death but...a Sail Barge? It's just not that fun. The mini skiff thing that was worth so much dough for so long isn't even that great. My mind was blown when they made the Rebel Transport - which frankly I'd love to see again. But I dunno. Sometimes I think Hasbro is as unsure of what will sell as we are.

I'm not "inviting a lecture" but I am curious why the 80's were such a target rich environment for vehicles. It had to more than "Well, everyone likes video games now...."

I mean vehicles were freakin' everywhere....

Well I think a Sail Barge would have done better than that Episode I battle droid ship. I mean they coul have even tied it into the Clone Wars line since the Hutts haw been featured. Then there is Anakin's ship kn Clone Wars too. There are vehciles that people are interested in but Slave I and Yoda's drop shop ain't it.

Oh, yeah, totally with you there. "Wheee, we can invade a grassy paradise defended by Gungans!" Yeeeeahh this would have been a slow seller in 1999, when everything Star Wars sold like it was on fire.

Hasbro has Mock up's of both a Barge and the Sand crawler, with the doom of droid factory 2.0, I think the Sandcrawler maybe mothballed. The Barge as a open up playset, with skiff bay is probably still on the list.

the spies say there are four BMF's left, Barge, Sandcrawler, Imperial Shuttle, and a Blockade Runner. All of which are mocked up, and awaiting someone to check one off.

Ever since I got the Star Wars incredible cross sections book as a kid I've always wanted Jabba's Sail Barge as a vehicle for my Joes.

I'd be up in the air on getting a sail barge. It would really have to wow me and also come out pretty soon. Same with an Imperial Shuttle. I'm fine with the one I have so I would need to be wowed to buy another. The Blockade Runner, I would probably get if they squeezed all of the key scenes inside it. The hallway with a door that comes off to look like it's blasted. A escape pod and the bay area where Leia recorded the R2 message. All of that would need to be in it. I'd skip the Sandcrawler as I have each time it's come out.

I can't imagine there would be much more than that in a Blockade Runner. I think a full sized one would be pretty damn big and expensive.

Not just that, after all the effort to create figures of every one in Jabba's palace and the skiff, not to mention Jabba's throne, why wouldn't they make the Sail Barge to complete the scenes?

I'd have to be wowed by the barge, as well, but I'd most likely get one as a Dreadnok vehicle, and I have no interest in a blockade runner, but if they did an update on the Sand Crawler comparable to the update on the AT-AT, I'd pay full retail for it. Same for the Imperial Shuttle, as I've not gotten one prior to this.

Between a Sail Barge and the stupid Episode I droid transport, they should have done the barge. I would get a barge myself. It played such a pivotal role in the movie that it will always have an action trait do it even though it is really mean to just haul around a giant slug.

As far as other things to make. I agree with the Death Star playset. The Rebel Transport might be okay. A Blockade Runner could be done well. A Tie Defender, this is a huge one I want to see.

I think someone posted a photo of a actual sized 1:18th scale version someone did and it was almost as large as a semi-flatbed trailer....so more like astronomically expensive....

I'd buy the Blockade Runner they drew up in the 80's....I just really want one!

My major hope is that recreating these old toys is helping them get the hang of it again....

I'll take classic vehicles all day long. WHALE next please Hasbro!! :-D

Your spelling skills leave much to be desired, young man. Why, that barely has two letters in common with MEAN DOG.
