I've never seen sooo many repack returns.

I keep finding three-packs with new sculpt joes or Star Wars figs put in the package. So far no one is ballsy enough to take all three out usually Hawk or oddly enough the gray Viper are the only legit figures usually kept in the package.

Wow -- I have not been seeing this in my area. And frankly, it shocks me that the gray Viper is left behind, since if I were inclined to buy any of the three-packs, that's one I'd actually want!

But TRU needs to get their act together on this. It's one thing to put one over on Walmart or Target, that doesn't specialize in toys (it's STILL wrong, but...). It's another thing entirely to get away with this sort of stunt with a TOY-specific store!

Retailer, know thine merchandise!

I think the Grey Viper Officer would make a great Navy Viper as its the same colors as the Eel.. or even a Eel who has no diving orders so he's in the viper gear instead of the wetsuit...

Exactly like a land uniformed SEAL... just in the roles of :cobra:

I really hate you for putting this idea in my head. *off to ebay for hopefully cheap gray Vipers*

I feel like I won the Lady Jaye lottery. My order from TRU came in with great paint apps. Really happy with the figure.

Congrats, dasaffe! I got my TRU order in the mail today as well.

Just one thing, TRU. It is reasonable to assume that you have among your clientele a number of people who are collectors that are likely to be rather picky about the condition of the packaging of their toys. I am not one such necessarily, nor do I have any complaints about the condition of the toy's package.

However, TRU, you might want to invest in a decent supply of corrugated cardboard boxes. This set arrived in a PADDED ENVELOPE! Sheesh...

I mean, good grief, even Digital River knows enough to use boxes...

Anyway, there weren't any problems with the toy or the packaging, and if this turns out to be the only 50th Anniversary G.I. Joe item I purchase -- there's others I'd like, but they're not really in the budget -- then I have to say I am pleased to have at least one example of the 50th Anniversary package design in my collection.

As to the figures, I haven't really analyzed Snow Job all that closely yet, although I am impressed with the amount of accessories he comes with, including the little cloth item.

The main reason I wanted this set was for the Arctic B.A.T., and I am extremely impressed with him! The color scheme is outstanding and one of the most distinctive I've seen on a B.A.T. in years. The imprinted arctic camouflage is a superb design and very well done. I like the color scheme of the mechanics underneath the chestplate, and that and the red grenades give just the right touch of color to what would've been an otherwise potentially drab figure.

The gold Cobra emblem is a nice bit of work, too. It looks like some of the paint work on this figure might've been done by hand, which can occasionally lead to sloppiness, but did not do so on this particular B.A.T.

Really, no complaints whatsoever. I'm truly pleased to have this B.A.T., and the entirety of the two-pack. I'm also truly pleased that it showed up intact.

Happy 50th, G.I. Joe. You and your fans deserved more of a celebration than you've gotten, I believe, but at least we've gotten something! :D

And, okay, I have to admit, I'm a lot more impressed with Snow Job than I thought I'd be. He was almost an afterthought, but I like this figure. Good camouflage pattern, excellent accessories, and I like the way the long coat conceals that frequently annoying mid-torso articulation joint. Granted, he doesn't look that much like the original Snow Job, but there's already a modern-style version of that.

I think we finally have a winner of a two-pack here!

Yeah, too bad he's just the Pursuit of Cobra Snow Job with bluer camo.

Ive seen all but the Snow job 2pack. The biggest thing I've noticed is how bad the boxes are beat up and the clear bubble is scratched on the figures. These look like something you see at Big lots that are 3/4 years old and been moved around a lot , not brand new 2014 toys.

I ordered the vehicles from
TRU.com because the ones in stores wore so beat up. Mine looked as bad . So I guess they all are like that.

I broke down and ordered Lady Jaye set online as I decided not to keep going back to TRU weekly to see if they get it

Per this Twitter post from Nerd Rage Toys, it sounds like Hasbro is releasing some of the 50th line to other retailers. The following exchange with General Hawk reveals that Nerd Rage Toys can now order the 2-packs. Not sure when they'll be available, pricing or if the vehicles and 3-packs will be available. Follow Nerd Rage Toys on Twitter for the latest on this.

Which I never picked up, and offhand don't even recall seeing, so -- :)

But yeah, admittedly, the Arctic BAT is the selling point in this set.

Interesting. I haven't really noticed any problems of this type, except for the amount of dust gathering on the Blowtorch/HEAT-Viper sets... But structurally, they all seem fine.
