I take this limited and unscientific data and hypothesize that for the toy part of it, an episode 7 that simply re-hashes all the known characters might be the worst thing that the toy line could ask for, whereas a movie with a lot of new blood might prosper as a toy line.
This is Star Wars we're talking about. Give the old characters new outfits and throw in some new aliens in the background for two seconds a piece and you have 500 action figures the fans will be begging for until Episode 8 gets made. That doesn't even count the expanded universe characters from the video games, novels, and comics that would be tied into the new movie. That's another 200 figures there.

It would be Malibu Stacy has a new hat all over again.
Better buy some Hasbro stocks right away...

I know this falls into the realm of exclusives, but Hasbro already does Star Wars/Disney toys: http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Tours-Week ... pd_sim_t_5

Well if the rumor from here is true
http://m.mtv.com/geek/article.rbml?id=2 ... ml&cid=300

its all moot. Disney buys Hasbro, and gets a lock on a good chunk of the boys toys market. To say nothing of the movie potentials etc.

Disney themed GI Joe figures...
Scarlett and Lady Jaye as new Disney princesses?
Timber being replaced by Pluto?
Could the team get financed by McScrooge?
Will we finally get the Gargoyles-GIJoe cross over live action TV show?
Will Chip & Dale Rescue rangers join the Adventure Team?

I don't see buying Hasbro. They can make as much money selling license to their products to other companies and not have to worry about anything else, just approval of the product. Let the licensee worry about production and ect. Now maybe they are talking about exclusive rights or something, but why let the Lego, Mattel/Hot Wheels/Fisher-Price, money and lines go. I really doubt this rumor. Also Disney would not be able to get the Joe, Transformer, or several other movie rights and such from Paramount/Universal. Heck, Universal Studio's Theme Park has that new Transformers ride opening in Orlando, they don't want another Marvel going on.

The Beagle Boys and Percival C. McLeach as Dreadnoks!

Condorman part of the Sky Patrol!

I bought a few of the bald Chap Mei Bad Boyz character 'Bar Code' to turn into the Beagle Boys for the Disney GP.

Also looking for pics of McLeach's truck to see the possibility of making a custom.

I can't believe it took so long for that to come up.

I can't believe I was gracious enough to leave it for someone else...
