Somebody posted it in Facebook, and I think I agree... It looks a fair bit like Pete...the Transformer's guy.

I think it looks more like Pete than Dave Lane... and if that is who it's based on, I can understand why a lame and forgettable figure like Topside was put on the list.

From my experience over on the TF Club, Pete's not the kind of guy who would've put a character in just to have his likeness done.
If that is based on him, good on him, though. Pete rules.

Also, this may be a lame homage but the original Topside was not lame!

Topside was featured in the Club's DTC 2-part comic, so when I read the comic, I was thinking "Why Topside?"... which is what I am sure some folks were thinking when he was revealed as one of the subscription figures. My initial reaction to the figure announcement was, "Well played, Club.", thinking that it was part of their long-term strategy. But since we still have yet to hear any details regarding cost, ordering, etc, I have to revoke that misplaced praise.

I still like the figure and am glad he doesn't have the jaundice yellow eyes of the ARAH release.
