Plus at least Golobulus would require a lot of retooling for an online exclusive.

Not with the way Hasbro has been working.
Alot of the parts could be reused. Golobulus's torso could be reused on a Thrasher, Plus non sleeve no gloved arms need to be made sooner or later anyway. Pythona's body could be reused for a Jinx. They've already got a pattern for a nice robe from the Storm Shadow Comic Pack. You might be able to make a Royal Guard out of a HISS Driver body with added on webgear. So they could at least get some decent use out of parts from a set like this.

But the lower part of Golobulus? That's a one-figure part (barring any direct repaints of Golobulus, of course). And to do it well (as in, not like the first figure), they'd have to articulate the tail either by segmenting it (which would require a ton of tooling) or by making it bendable with a wire, which would still involve a highly specialized lower-body mold that wouldn't adapt itself to any other characters. As much as I'd love to see one, I don't think we'll be getting a new Golobulus. We definitely need Pythona and the Royal Guards, though.

Well as a Sigma Six fan I know there is one heck of a differance between action figures and cartoons. I hated the Sigma Six cartoon with a passion, but damn those 8" toys were cool.

At least the Joe Movie did have it's cool moments like when Pythona broke in to go after Serpie. It's toward the end that the movie decides they should jump the shark but jumping the shark wasn't enough so they should put fricking laser beams on the sharks heads.

Would be fun to have some figures from when Hasbro went insane. Kind of a reminder of just how tough GI Joe is to survive some of the bad ideas that the Joes and Cobras have gotten stuck with over the years.

i can't believe everyone's arguing over Cobra-La's "success"

it pretty much was the end of what was good about the cartoon b/c after that they started the operation dragonfire and the crappy cartoon.

but i'd be interested if golobulus came with a burgess meredith sound clip box :D

I was thinking they could repurpose something from another line. I know there was a segemented Cobra in the Sigma Six line, I wonder how much work it would need to become the right size or, They could take one of the Jabba The Hutt sections from the Star Wars line. The first Jabba from the Han / Jabba creature pack, with a new U shaped section would probably work.
