Okay, Night Creeper Leader has never been one of my favorite characters, but this figure impresses. This is one well-outfitted and heavily-armed ninja!

Serpentor head? Did not see that coming. The features are a bit dated, but the blind fold helps distinguish it.

Man, I love that figure. Anyone not want theirs? I'll take it. So far, if I didn't despise the "pay money to be allowed to spend money" idea behind the Club, I'd actually join and sign up this year maybe.

I'm not familiar with this version of the character. I vaguely recall him from the cartoon. But I like it. Just the right amount of "Ninja Force" without being eye-gougingly bright.

Weird.

I didn't have much of an opinion of the figure until the reveal, but I'd have to say, most of the updated new-sculpt era figs have been great so far. I've only bought 2 FSS figs the past 2 years and both of them were new-sculpt era related. If I wind up purchasing anything from this year's offering, it will most likely be this Alpine figure.

This version is based on the recoloration of Night Creeper Leader from the original line. But even the original Night Creeper Leader figure didn't look that much like he did in the animated series.

The Dic version was just a different head on a :nightcreeper: body...

I like the design for this one and I. Suppose it's the better of the two possible color schemes, but gosh I'm having a hard time with all of that yellow.

I suppose I could fix that...

Overall, I think this figure is another winner. I'm not crazy about the head, with the blindfold being fairly small and the lack of skull cap. Still, for using existing parts, that's probably the best that could be done. The gear is really nice too. Part of me wishes they would have included that updated HEAT-Viper v1 missile launcher that originally came with the DVD set BAT and most recently was included with the convention Toxo-Vipers, since the original had the HEAT-Viper v2 launcher that itself was an update of the v1 launcher.

A skullcap...is that what that was? I always thought it was some weird super short but super thick hair style. I got that figure when I was 5-6 years old and it took 20 years to find that out.

I didn't notice until you pointed it out. I still think this works, but it's only passable. I don't know why they chose a new head for Alpine when the existing one is very similar, but chose one of the style's oldest heads instead of a new one here.
