My Five Below has probably 8 pegs chock-full of 10 different figs (mostly waves I already have what I want from, and nothing from the Ultimate Wave and no NVs yet).

Anyhow, when the heck is the last time I saw 8 pegs chock-full of Joes?!?!?!?! I'm guessing maybe back in the Spy Troops or Valor vs. Venom eras? It's been a LOOOONG time. Good to see the love, but sad when it's leftover stock making the discount store rounds. Such a bittersweet feeling.

So hilarious my TRU is now overflowing with whatever that Jinx wave is.
No Night Vipers left obviously but everything else was there. They just can't compete with the Five Below across the way.
Five Below seemed to have gotten more figures since I went there. However this time the Night Vipers were gone.
I got all their Joe Colton's since I need those forearms!

I just got back from Big Flats and I hit the jackpot.

Stopped at TRU and found 2 Eaglehawks at $18 each and another Night-Viper for $10. Snagged another Star Wars Podacer Pilots pack for just under $7.

Stopped at Five Below just before closing time and all they had was a lone Budo on the peg. I grabbed a Ric Ollie figure, since he kinda looks like Agent Coulson. Grabbed 2x Wolverine Shadow Strike Ninjas and another Hogun. Looked at the Budo then looked at Hogun and wondered how the Budo parts would fit on Hogun.

Went to leave and the manager asked me if I found everything. I remarked, "I wish you had more GIJOE figures."

She looks at me and tells me they just got a case and hadn't put it out yet. She asks me if I'm interested. I enthusiastically nod my head and follow her to the back, where she walks back out with two 2 unopened cases.

I grabbed:

Two of my local TRU's are also full of that wave (or were last week). Asked around; they received SIX cases at one store, probably the same at the other. Where has this stuff been for 6-8 months?!?

I think the Five Below $5 Retaliation figure rush may be over. It has been 3 weeks since my nearest store was restocked and I'm reading on HIsstank that it has dried up elsewhere as well. They have Simpsons Lego figures now, but no more Joes.
