My TRU had quite a bit of the Ninja car & cycle sets and now they're all soldout. But they did get the beast packs in yesterday. Will be getting both eventually.

bringing back a zombie thread.

Saw a few new True Legends stuff at TRU.

The Battle Ogre is cool but up close he kind of looks cheap--like plastic looks a little cheap and the paint apps as well.

The Tree monster is amazing. It looks incredible. I have no idea what I would do with it, but I kind of want it.

There's also a large red dragon with light-up eyes and sounds that is pretty impressive.

Any bets on how long before Spectre does something amazing with that evil tree? Seems right up his alley for his dio/accessory work.

I need that tree monster. No idea where it will fit in my collection, but it's too awesome not to own.

(....and I know someone is going to use it for an Evil Dead dio....)

The ogre has 3 arms? How big are these, as in, could some of the BAF Ulti-Goblin bits work to upgrade the artic?

I think price was 16 range and height-wise they are 8 inch range.

I really want that Ogre for my Figma Link. Anyone have one within picking up range? I'll gladly pay fair price.

only the vehicles look worthwhile for true heroes

Why can't TRU cut a deal like dollar general and get $6 figures with great articulation but so-so paint jobs (these are great fodder!)

each was $14.99 at my TRU. I passed on the ogre. At first glance I thought for sure I'd get it. But MJTanner is right, it looks real cheap up close. Decided the work it would take to make it useful wasn't worth it. To answer AV's question, it's a "four armed" ogre, but it really has just two swivel arms. The 3rd and 4th are sculpted as extensions of thee first two.

If I got it, I'd gladly repaint him. Just gotta find him.

Four arms? You're not dissuading me here. Good thing tomorrow's payday and TRU's not obscenely out of the way.

Was there an Inhumanoid who looked a little like this? I never really followed the show but it seems like one of the monsters was tree-based. It's a neat sculpt, a repaint could really do it justice.
