Finally opened mine last night and had a few surprises.

Stormshadow was the biggest. I honestly thought I'd sell or trade him away until I was looking at it through the blister plastic. It's just a beautiful figure and packed with play value. Only gripes are that I wish he came with a fully unmasked head and I wish there were some decent way to make arms swappable. Then I'd only need one Stirmshadow in my collection.

The Techno-Viper, which I was really jazzed for, kind of left me cold. I don't dislike it, but something about the stylized way they adapted his design just makes him look less realistic than even his 25th-style fellow Cobras. Feels like a steP back in contrast to other recent releases, which have ridden the line between fantasy and realism nicely.

The biggest disappointment was the Renegades Cobra Trooper. I had become pretty excited about him with the ore-release images I saw on line but I feel like they changed up his colors since then to be much more cartoony. Plus, in hand, the figure really is lacking in the level of detail most recent releases feature.

Last thing to make me scratch my head was the wrist articulation on Ripcord and Tunnel Rat. Why no ball joints for these guys? Otherwise they appear to sport the same arms as Duke, so I guess I don't get why someone would decide to limit their articulation. Again, feels like a step back.

By and large, though, have to agree this is one of the best waves ever.

Doesn't the Movie Stormy head fit on this new figure?

Looks as though it would take some modding to sit right. The socket on 30th Stormy's head (s) is/are set deeper than RoC unmasked. Plus that movie noggin is noticeably larger than the masked 30th heads.

Probably will have to do, though.

Got Stormy, tonight. Looks like Hasbro heard people's cries about Low Light's bullet being too easy to loose. Storm Shadow has an individual throwing dart. At least, I think that's what it is. Could be an N scale railroad spike.

I like the two tone paint job, on his swords.

Okay the new Stormy is :wow:
I don't know how to put all his gear on him, but it's an awesome figure!!
I wouldn't mind seeing repaints of that figure in red, black and even camouflage like in the Ninja Strike set.

The other figures of that wave are all pretty awesome too.
Tunnel Rat is amazing, but I wish he had a bigger backpack to store his equipment.

Scarlet is a simple yet pretty neat figure. I actually played with her for a few minutes. Great range of movement on that figure. She sneaked on my desk without being seen by the Trooper that was guarding my keyboard.

Speaking of which, the Trooper is also cool. Really feels like a security guard.

Ripcord and Techno Viper are fin figures too. Ripcord's harness does hinder his range of movement and makes him a bit stiff. TV reminds me of the classic Cylons...

I doubt I will see these. And I don't have money to buy them at an inflated price plus shipping for BBTS, due to Christmas presents and gas money to go visit family. I'm a sad Joe fan.

Saw at WM today TR, Scarlett, Law and Order. I'm sure there were others but didn't have time to stop and smell the flowers. Came home empty. More kids' layaway was a higher priority. Hopefully some remnants will be there come payday.

That is the craziest thing to say considering how many figures we've seen of him, bit this Srorm Shadow is really awesome. You could literally do a ton of things with this one figure. It would be easy to make a Red Ninja army, black Ninjas, whatever. All the extra parts, you could do so much with him. Plus he makes an awesome Storm Shadow too.

More on the rest as I dig into them...

If anyone can hook me up with a couple Techno Vipers I would be very grateful.

Walmart in Saddle Brook has a ton of 30th Anniversary/Renegades Wave 3! I scored a Renegades Scarlett and left all of the others for other collectors/customizers as I only really want random accessories from them so they are not worth buying whole figures for.
