Yup, that's where I found mine, the top shelf of the Star Wars endcap. Only one on the shelf, but I scanned it and it said more were in the stockroom, so I had 'em drag out another for jm70. Now back to hunting for exclusives at other chains *sigh*

I found mine at a local Target on Saturday night. There were 4 of them on an end cap originally designated for SW toys. The retail was $62.99 before taxes.

Usually Florida is a little behind everyone getting stuff in. I was surprised to see it. I am happy to report the number of pegs designated for Joes has been going up in local stores. This Target had 6 pegs and the new TRU in the area had 6 pegs as well as pegs for CPs, tons of shelf space for dvd packs, 5 packs and 3 packs.

And he waited until 2:30 Sunday AM to send out a text message bragging about it... :verymad:

:D

I saw one of these at Target this weekend. Not impressed, perfectly content to let it pass to others who will actually enjoy it.

I just saw four of them at a Target I hit on the way to work. Right below it was a shelf tag for a Star Wars Ultimate Battle Pack (Also $62.99), does anyone know what's in that one?

I can't help but call fail on this set. More character rehashes, a horrible tank, a bright red HISS tank that many already have, a useless flight pod repaint, and only 1 new character in the bunch. I see tons of swaps already just to get Short Fuze, who himself isn't such a hot figure either. No way I'm forking over $50 for this, and hoping SF comes out on card or some other way later.

Gonna toss my hat in the "I love it, but can't afford it" side. :(

Those of you with money and "meh" to spare are welcome to send one to me. :)

I believe that was the Pit of Carkoon set, with the skiff and Sarlaac.

Yep, here it is on Target.com (not available):

Thanks for the info G-D! Wow, if they want $63 for that Star Wars UBP, I don't have a problem with what the GI Joe one had. But knowing the rabid following Star Wars has, it's be sold out within a week.

Holy crap! $63 for that Star Wars pack!? When the Skiff was released a few years ago with a figure it was about $25 or $30. This thing has a couple of extra figures, a sarlacc and a cheap plastic base for $63. Rip off big time. I will stick with the skiff I got a few years back.

You are right, the Joe UPB looks like a better deal than the Star Wars one.

They shot themselves in the foot on that SW pack. I'd have purchased the Skiff by itself, but not with all that other junk. Oh well, Rebelscum is rumoring a 2nd UBP involving the Ewok Village, should be interesting.

I think Hasbro misunderstood the fans when they kept asking for "playsets"

I saw the set today. I'm not hugely into the Anniversary stuff, but I was still impressed; it looks like a great gift idea for a child for Christmas.

Oddly enough, the figures looked a bit strange with no helmets on them (including CC).

It may also be the other Star Wars Ultimate Battle Pack, with the Clone Wars cartoon figures, as well as a new deco Droid Tank vs Clone AT-PT, which looks to be a far better deal. Well, if you're into the cartoon figures (I'm not.)

Here we go:

Mine was delivered yesterday.

Wow. This thing is HUGE, but the way it is displayed is awesome. The pictures/write up on the back looks straight out of 1985. It really brought me back.

A very cool set. Like previously mentioned, they are 1 per case, and the case says "# xxxx of 7000" so undoubtedly these are limited to 7000 units, which is a really small run
