Yep, that's what I am waiting for is the registration. The "reveals" can be done all at one time rather than these "roll out surprises". IF NOTHING ELSE, the club could put it's self on a deadline date and tell everyone such and such date will be when the form goes live. That's all any of us want is to know when to be in front of the computer rather than guessing.

You know, I find myself wondering if it's really been that dragged out, or if it just seems like it because there's more INDIVIDUALS than usual? We've only got two troopers in this set, the Toxo-Viper and Toxo-Zombie, three of each, while there are three individual teams of three (The E.C.O.s and the Zombie Hunters), for a total of six distinct individuals, plus the unrevealed Repulsor. And -- okay, the dog. I haven't really felt that the reveals have been all that dragged out as a result. Just my opinion on it.

Last year with the Convention starting April 4th, registration was already in full swing during Toy Fair weekend (Feb 9th) and sold out by 2/14. The brochure went up Jan 18th with the entirety of both sets being revealed by Feb 11th.

Here it is 2/27 with a convention starting April 10 and registration hasn't been opened yet. The Cobra Lab Rat was revealed Jan 14. with the brochure that went up 12/13.

The Club is Clearly having some issues...It's nice that they offer Dealers a Discount that is impossible to claim.

I was about to bring up the fantastic dealer for dealers who sign up by February 1st.

...maybe it's time to bring the fax machine back.

Dragging this out so long has really started to make me question if I want this set or not. If they had done the quick and dirty, reveal a day for a couple weeks or whatever and then registration I'd be okay with it. But after over a month... I'm getting buyer's remorse and I haven't bought the thing yet.

It's an odd set. They're not BAD figures, they're just strange choices. They feel like a secondary set of figures meant to compliment a set that we never saw. If they hang around for a while on the secondary market at reasonable prices like last year's set has, MAYBE I'll snag one? But for a set that was supposed to be zombie themed, I feel like I can safely say I, and others, have customized much more appealing mashups of Zombies and the Joe-verse. And I usually try to be pretty modest about my work...

I think it's a pretty good Sludge-Viper ... but why not just call it that? If you're going to make a big deal out of him being a new character, make him new instead of MOTH-ing him. I almost wish that the Club had given us three of this figure in place of Outback and Steel Brigade Commander.

Its finally close enough for me to go to the con and this is what they offering, which in many cases sucks. Even the zombie(s) in the set are lack luster and they are what the set is all about. Im just not sure I will get this, as I could spend the cash on something better and get more for my buck too.

That would have made a lot of sense. Or, you could have just loaded up on zombies and had Outback going all zombie rampage on them. Really zombies individually - not really scary unless they're the fast kind.

Best would have been if they did zombie versions of all the dead joes and cobras through the history of joe. Doc, Quick Kick etc. The parts were there and it would have been a good homage to both 50 years of characters, and a nod to how Hasbro keeps killing and dredging up the brand time and again. I'd have called the set - DETH OF TEH LINE!

But really, I am not feeling this character for some reason. I wouldn't even try to knock it off if I had the parts, much less actually buy it. It's close, but not really there.

And once again looks like they're saving the head sculpt reveal for later.

Original Sludge Viper is one of my favorite figures, but this looks like someone's, "eh....close enough" custom.

Okay, I'm definitely liking Repulsor. I really had no idea what to expect, and I was half-expecting some partially zombified horror that looked like it shambled out of a bad movie. That might have appealed to some, but not to me.

This guy looks like a meaner version of the Sludge-Viper, who happened to be one of my favorites (although I'll admit I always sort of liked the Sub-Viper recolor just a little better). The helmet gives the figure a meaner look somehow, and I like the use of the Techno-Viper harness, and the new emblem.

On the whole, I think this is a cool set. Yes, some of the character choices are a bit odd, but I think they make sense from the standpoint of the Joe Team having to bring together a group to deal with a threat that I doubt very much was in any of their operations manuals. We're getting a bunch of new individuals, the majority of which I don't think would've ever entered the modern line otherwise. We're getting the new Cobra Lab Rats who more than resemble the sort of white-suited lab techs that have turned up from time to time, and we're getting an impressive modern version of the Toxo-Vipers -- and the Toxo-Zombies.

And one seriously ugly zombie dog.

Overall, really, I think the set is a winner.

Because he isn't a Sludge Viper. He's a named character with I'm guessing a unique sculpt under that helmet. Three pack of Sludge Vipers will be available at the convention! Yay! I'd be surprised if I'm wrong. If I'm wrong, I'd really agree with you about "MOTH-ing him."

I'm not really a fan of the figure. I hate that bulky vest. I never understood the point of the mid torso joint when every figure's is covered up anyway. Makes no sense.
