See, that's my feeling on the Ripcord. It doesn't feel like a Joe to me. It feels more like a BBI or 21st century figure. SWARM, on the other hand, would make a cool Cobra addition. It'd obviously get "dumbed down" a bit detail-wise to be mass produced (I doubt we'd have seen a LED in it for instance) but that's a chance to see something new that we couldn't have expected regardless of the contest. I could see Hasbro having Ripcord or even Red Laser already planned for production... it's not a stretch for them to do them given the parts and that they are established characters that they can fall back on. To paraphrase Mike T., I'd rather see something new and unique mixed in with my nostalgia but I'm getting more convinced that I won't find that or the support for that in Joedom.
I'd kind of like to know what kind of reaction that BBI or whoever's gear that is gives when they find out their products are up on hasbro's site lol.
Also, was there ever a picture of the ripcord figure without the gear on him? I only saw the ones w/ the stuff on, and can't really see the figure itself..
