That story was badass! I remember it now. It was way before I joined JC that I was reading all those Dio-Stories. So that was one of GH's, very nice.

So GH, do you think MC lifted their idea for this Con set from your story? It seems that way to me.

I dunno, man. It's cool with me if they did, and seems pretty coincidental (I mean, who would team up Gristle/Headhunters and the BATs), but anything's possible. If I came up with it, anyone could have.

I wonder if anyone else noticed the "coincidence" between your Dio-Story and the Con set. When I read MC's description of the set in the flyer, I thought that arrangement of characters and the setting sounded oddly familiar.

I think MC is just trying to keep up with today's fashion sense. I have seen alot of women wearing teal so far this season. But just like Gristle, HH Guards and BATs, teal unfortuneately looks terrible on women too.

Teal should only be worn by Pro football players from Jacksonville, during the season, and ON the field.

Thats the only acceptable time someone can wear teal. Whether you are a member of a terrorist organization, a guard, a robot, or even a woman.

You have to be a football player to pull off that color, and only in Jacksonville

Shockingly enough, my MC newsletter showed up today.
The BATs look pretty good; either a grey or silver v2 body, possibly with v1 arms or atleast hand attachments, & a v1 head with red visor. They appear have have a lenticular w/ the skull logo. Not sure how I feel about it. I am pleased overall & actually think I might buy a bagged set once I see them in person. For the HHST, think exactly like the HH, same color scheme.

The set does look right out of Hawk's Retaliation. The Joes definitely look like Shockwave v1, Long Arm, maybe Bulletproof (I hope!) or Hit n' Run.

V2 mold = the suxx0rz

Hasbro has said for a while that the BAT V1 mold was damaged in some way. Since we've seen the waist and legs a few thousand times we know it's not those parts, and we've seen the upper arms on all recent Snow Job figures, so the arms were probably not it either.

So it makes perfect sense that the chest is the part that's damaged. Replacing it with the BAT V2 chest is an acceptable compromise, but I would think almost any other chest could work as a covering of the original BAT chest. I wouldn't have minded the Viper chest or even the Headhunter part (Since they're apparently HeadBATs?). Still, I can't wait to see what it looks like.

Too bad it's teal.
