So, yeah, found single packs and 3 packs for the "Corps vs Curse" line at Walmart the other night. Most surprisingly was that the single packs had a "only at Walmart" sticker on them.
Obviously, the 3 packs included the packs with the new female characters, and I got a good look at them (didn't feel my curiosity warranted the $7 purchase price, but I probably would have snagged a single pack if they had been offered).
I'm utterly SHOCKED at the female figures, to be honest. Best I could tell, had head swivel, ball joint shoulders and elbows (with a much improved aesthetic design than the guys), a boob level torso twist, ball jointed hips (!), and swivel knees. All said, she's as functional (and arguably moreso) than most 25th figures or Retaliation figures. And sculpt wise...I'd even say that they're generally better (both in sculpt and final deco) than a good many Joe female figures we've seen over the past 8 years.
In typical Corps fashion, the two female figures share the same body tools, but with different decos and different head sculpts.
These shockingly good female figures come at a price: Lanard also packs in one of the sub-5 POA figures in the 3 packs, presumably to "even out" the cost between the female figures and the "standard" 9 POA Corps figure included. Many of the "standard" Corps figures feature some new tooling, some new deco, and a few new names (despite reusing the same art work).
