As cool as these are, those are never showing up stateside. Walmart is the only place that sells them and they won't dedicate that kind of shelf space for those vehicles.

The three-packs may show up. Wal-Mart seems to like the 3-figures + small vehicle format. Doesn't take up a lot of space, looks like a ton of stuff for your dollar, and catches your eye.

Shopko has had some of the larger vehicles in the past. And I don't see them investing in the tooling without some sort of U.S. Distribution lined up. Could be wrong though.

That's cool, but if the set doesn't include Mojo Nixon, then it could use some fixin'.

Never stopped Chap Mei. The thousands of dollars they never got from people because "who in the USA would want an Osprey?"

True on Chap Mei, but Lanard is US based.

Though given how much of their product has only shown up at random drugstore chains and PXs it's probably safer to assume they'll be harder to get.

Per Steevy Maximus on the Hisstank forum

Quote:
So, yeah, found single packs and 3 packs for the "Corps vs Curse" line at Walmart the other night. Most surprisingly was that the single packs had a "only at Walmart" sticker on them.

Obviously, the 3 packs included the packs with the new female characters, and I got a good look at them (didn't feel my curiosity warranted the $7 purchase price, but I probably would have snagged a single pack if they had been offered).

I'm utterly SHOCKED at the female figures, to be honest. Best I could tell, had head swivel, ball joint shoulders and elbows (with a much improved aesthetic design than the guys), a boob level torso twist, ball jointed hips (!), and swivel knees. All said, she's as functional (and arguably moreso) than most 25th figures or Retaliation figures. And sculpt wise...I'd even say that they're generally better (both in sculpt and final deco) than a good many Joe female figures we've seen over the past 8 years.
In typical Corps fashion, the two female figures share the same body tools, but with different decos and different head sculpts.

These shockingly good female figures come at a price: Lanard also packs in one of the sub-5 POA figures in the 3 packs, presumably to "even out" the cost between the female figures and the "standard" 9 POA Corps figure included. Many of the "standard" Corps figures feature some new tooling, some new deco, and a few new names (despite reusing the same art work).

I did not see the 3 packs but did find a mech suit blister carded. Pretty cool looking. Looks like a SNAKE armour suit and it comes with a figure. They also have a Walmart exclusive sticker. There is also 6" figures of the Corps.

I like these and hope our Walmarts restock soon. I'm kinda excited to see the new tooling on the corps female figures. I hope it's a sign that they are gonna revamp some of their others. I also like the armor suits. Looks like some great low price fodder. The 6 in figures remind me of the rescue hero line from fisher price.

Thank you for the pictures Toy-Nutz !

Damn. It looks like i might be getting back into 1:18th . Both mechs look good for what i assume will be a relatively low cost but the 2nd mech calls out to me especially. If Lanard creates new male sculpts i'l get back into 1:18th fully. They look like fun toys. If not i'll just grab a mech or two for my 2'' figures since they already have opening hatches,

I like everything i see here - The larger figures with the animate aesthetic look really cool. I'd buy something like that for a young child.

What were the prices listed for each product?

Shampoo bottle plastic. Gaudy stickers. I do love a good cheap toy heh

That second mech looks like it was at least partially inspired by Gipsy Danger from "Pacific Rim".

I would guess the mechs will be less than 15, possibly less than 10 (we can hope). But I only guessing. I'm going to Walmart tomorrow to pick up some prescriptions so I'm hoping they will have restocked. The last time I was at this particular one the toy isles were kinda bare.

Not that I would ever dissuade someone from 1:18, but those mechs would also be pretty cool as if they were larger in size, if used for the 2-2.5" stuff you've been doing.

That's one of the things that always tempts me on the smaller figures (or even the Warhammer stuff) - the ability to take some otherwise undersized 1:18 stuff and mod them to look like they belong in another scale.

On topic, I'll be keeping my eyes out. But I'm a little dubious of the head size on the new figs.

Last - how sad that True Heroes and Corps have the coolest new releases?

That was definitely the main draw of the 1:3X scale (2" ) figures for me . I'll always have a soft spot for ARAH "true" 3 3/4'' figures but being able to convert a 1:18th vehicle ( like the Cobra Mantis Attack Craft or the Sea Ray) into vehicles that can carry multiple pilots is just too much for me to resist. Theoretically you get more play value for your money at that scale. That and i have wanted poseable WH40K figures for almost a decade :shifty:

So the female CORPS! figures seem as though they would fit in perfectly with the 25th anniversary product based upon this image and the image on the first page of this thread. If new male figures are made by Lanard using the new articulation i really will be all in. It would be like Dollar General (?) Joe figures....but readily available every time i happened to be at a local walmart.
