The Greek fantasy stuff is nice, but bring on the Sci - Fi!

Having looked hard at the pictures, I've come up with the following supposition:

The butt screw (lets face it, it's stuck) is there to make top and bottom switching easier - and it's the main gripe about trying to swap out Modern Era figures, so I can live with the aesthetics of the butt hole (Sorry, but it is...) for the functionality. A plastic plug that covers it would be nice similar to the back screws on PTE figures, but it certainly not a requirement as long as the screw is painted or paint-able.

The upper thighs are split that way to allow for the attachment to what is presumably a t-hook similar to ARAH, but without the full thigh split of the ARAH figures. It's a clever design that allows for old style movement without splitting the whole thigh. I like it.

The parts swapabiltiy of the figure is going to be much better than the standard Modern Era figure in MU or Joe style, and allows for a lot more re-usability of bucks and molds in developing new products. That said, price will also be a factor for me, as will exchange and shipping them to Canada. Shipping for a single Kreo figure is about $7 now for small packet, so unfortunately this will impact what I am willing to pay per figure.

- R

$7 to ship a Kreon?!? Dude, it'd be cheaper for you to move here to the U.S. in the long run!

Meh. Unless you are making a bunch of naked people *coughDark Jedicough*, the butt screw is going to be concealed by a belt or other type of web gear anyway.

Oh my, all 3 waves of Greek Myth H.A.C.K.S are so desirable.

I will be backing the eventual kickstarter with as much as I can muster, I'll forgo buying anything else in the month the it goes up.

You can easily throw in some Narnia Minotaur, Satyr and Centaur with these figures, any of the old Toybiz Herc/Xena monsters or those True Legends/Fantasy and previous Chap-Mei monsters.

I think I'll be backing any line Boss Fight Studios does (the Space and pure Fantasy line they have pages for on their website are promising).

Naked people?

Why?

I would use the female snakes as is, but they wouldn't be Greek, they would be Cobra-La.

The main thing to watch for is the stretch goals! This is where I will bet many of you will find lots of things you will want beyond the cool figures that will be offered in the regular line!

I really want to be excited about these, but I've got no real interest in or use for any of the things shown so far. I really hope it succeeds, though, because I want to see the company keep turning out new stuff: their attention to detail and obvious enthusiasm for the medium is admirable. Still not wild about the construction, but it'll do, especially if Hasbro is really as committed to reducing articulation as they seem to be.

I can't say that I have a use for the Greek mythology figures. They would go ok with Dungeons and Dragons I guess, but I'm putting money in just to support the effort. If nothing else I can swap some parts and use them with GIJoe.

You guys are no fun at parties. These three snake-chicks beat more ass than Hasbro's entire output for the past decade, imho.

I was thinking you could make a pretty good custom Dr. Who Leela with the Wave 3 sister fig.

A glimpse into where they want things to go beyond the kickstarter.
http://generalsjoes.com/2014/05/29/boss ... -thoughts/

http://troymckie.com/big-things-are-com ... oss-fight/

I think a lot of people are going to unfairly compare this to Marauder Inc.’s very successful gaming figure Kickstarter (which BFS helped design). They are going to see the Kickstarter at face value and decide based on that what they want to pledge. Fair enough, but after reading what Troy, Justin, and Gary “Goggles” aka Gyre Viper, had to say, they are talking about stuff that is planned beyond the Kickstarter. We won't just buying into 300 mashed up with Clash of Titans. We’re buying into the idea of what action figures should be today. How’s that for a sales pitch? You don’t like 5 points of articulation figures? Neither do I. You want highly detailed figures with cool accessories and 30 + points of articulation in themes no one else besides Chap Mei has tackled in the last decade and that NOBODY else could do as well? Then by golly, that is what this Kickstarter is for. Sure you’ll get some Spartans, Gorgons, and variations of the figures along with some swag. All very cool on their own. But we’re also at the ground floor of something big that can be bigger if we all just see it through. Help them, help us. The more successful it is, the more real that robot and barbarian and whatever themes they go with become. There won't be any limits to what Boss Fight can do.

The BFS Kickstarter will start as soon as it gets approved. So break open the piggy banks, sell an organ, take out another line of credit and buy stake in not only this, but what's coming next.

I'm anxious just to see the Kickstarter already! I know I'm going to pledge based on just what we've seen so far, but they keep talking up stretch goals on Facebook that it's made me excited to see everything they have thought up.
