When you put the new treads in, loosen all four wheels at the corners. The instructions say to just loosen the two cogged wheels but mine roll much nicer with them all working. It's a giant pain cracking the blackwash on them, tho.

Why'd you pick Sand over Marine? The Marine one matching w/ my ScopeDog was the clincher for me, but I think the uniform tan color is boring compared to the multiple shades on the Marine. I think it's dumb that Lau doesn't have plans to release everything in all colors. I want a Speeder II, but would prefer it in Marine. As is, I'd only want it to paint COBRA blue.

I like the sand also - if I was to get this for myself - as it's more versatile for my purposes. But you can tell the quality of this thing from the images, and even from a photo review only, it seems like you're digging it, am I right JM?

Yes, I am digging it. And this is from a guy who NEVER got into Transformers, and has only a passing interest in mech stuff. About the closest thing I am interested in would be those Bertie Bots or Ash Wood's Robots vs stuff.

So, yeah, this thing made an impression on me!

AV, I went with tan because it has a more 'realistic' feel to the color. That being said, I really dig the Marine as well, and if I were AbFab wealthy, would own one of those as well. I think I might start saving some pennies for that piece that's coming (name escapes me - the 'base' one) -- maybe I'll get that one in the Marine color, so I wind up with a motley colored train when I'm done...

Oh, and my six year old discovered this last night, and she discovered that it transformed. And my toy survived with zero damage -- another milestone!

Kit says there's some problem in development. Since it doesn't TF (I think), I'd bet it's them wall panels being too fragile.

It's the Raptor I'm blue-balling for, tho. That li'l bastid just looks like a fistful of fun, imho.

Thanks to having my Stronghold, I let the 'Dogs out to play today. Never had them all out together before, and it gave me quite a toyboner, lol. I call this a Mechican Standoff, lol.

The 'leader' the green Dog is arguing with is a CM's Toys Shining Knight Berserker/Berserga that's far inferior materials-wise than anything else in the pics (including the driveway, lol) and should be avoided unless you plan to heavily rework it.

The MicroDogs are well worth throwing $200 at, imho.

Once I get that spider-Laurel in the ARW pics, I think my Tachikoma will have found its arch-enemy, lol.

I got the first couple of figures but my interest waned shortly thereafter. The Omanga troopers look cool and I will definitely be getting Sophia and the Puppet. That is how a BAT should look!
