A Tiger Force Convention Set would make sense. Although Hasbro did some of them as part of the 25th Anniversary line, there's still plenty left, and FSS 2.0 does include the South American Tiger Force versions of Shipwreck and Airtight.

And, stretching the point just a little, recent Convention sets have featured representatives from arguably the two other most popular special teams in G.I. Joe that specifically featured repaints: Night Force and Python Patrol.

Seeing stripes in 2014 wouldn't surprise me at all...

Man, that would be just such an uninspiring set though.

The only Tiger Force character I wish to own is Sabretooth/Wreckage. The rest would probably just annoy me like the Night Force and Marauders sets did by giving me great parts combos for characters in crap color schemes (Spearhead, I'm looking in your direction).

I would be all over a tiger force set. Goofy colors, sure, but I really like them for some reason.

I think I need to start making more customs. Whenever I get an idea for one of a character not yet made, the Club always seems to make them for these membership or subscription figures. GET OUT OF MY HEAD SAVAGE!

I'm not seeing what they messed up on. He is all black with teal boots/gloves and a brown vest. His colors look essentially the same to me as the original NF figure.

And his box and outfit, which is basically an Action Soldier uniform, with box and gold dog tag. If the recent prices the club has been charging for these are any indication, you can almost buy a vintage Man of Action figure for what they will want for this.



I believe Emperor Nero from History of the World, Part I sums up my feeling best:

The figure seems a bit lazy this time out, and if I decide to renew my membership I will definitely be getting the Cross Country figure.

The Man of Action's uniform is pretty weak compared to the previous accessory sets.
Basic green fatigues which all 12" Joe collectors have plenty off... yeah, not the best idea.
The figure should come already dressed in fatigues and the extra accessory set should be something more... special.

QFT. I'd be fine with a Tiger Force set done in the retailer exclusive 7-pack style at the retailer exclusive 7-pack prices. As a convention set, especially at convention prices, I wouldn't really be interested. What I think made the Night Force set work so well is that even though the original figures were simple repaints, most of the characters had never been done in the modern style up to that point so they were essentially new. With Tiger Force, with the exception of Frostbite, maybe Skystriker, and VvV Alpine/Cross Hair if you want to get really obscure, all of the main Tiger Force members that haven't been made yet would be repaints of existing figures (and, for the most part, not better repaints of said characters). However, my first thought when seeing the HAVOC Mk II was the same as Mysterious Stranger - the Club is doing this vehicle with an intended Tiger Cat redeco, probably for the convention. I'm still hoping the Club will give us something more interesting like an Eco-Warriors set, but this development leads me to believe that Tiger Force may be what we get. I guess we'll find out soon enough if the Club actually intends to have registration up by Thanksgiving.

Doesn't the GIJCC post the convention information sheet way in advance before they open registration? Seems awfully ambitious for the GIJCC to do this with such a short window, seeing as how Thanksgiving is a week from Thursday.

While this figure looks good because of the Boss Fight sculpted head and vest, and it's way better than what Hasbro would have done in 2007-09 for a 25th update, I have zero need to own it. I'm glad the Club didn't use the 25th Viper lower legs for him the way so many customizers have done. This makes me glad I'm not a completist but I'm glad for collectors who needed him to fill the gap.

But... that HAVOC Mk II is not any kind of HAVOC, in fact it's an insult to call it that IMO. I dislike the Snow Cat but even in green it's still the same old vehicle. I would have totally bought the R.H.I.I.N.O in green as a new H.A.V.O.C because it was futuristic and heavily armored and has the detachable vehicle (copter instead of hover car). But a Snow Cat? Golobulus would agree with me that this is FAILURE. Laughably weak.
