Mine don't do that. :-/

I just hit two Fang Boats at Walmart for $4.25 each. Weird thing is that the Awe Striker thing was $11.

Found one wave one Roadblock at Target for $5. I got him for $2.50 almost a year ago...and with that dumb hand, he wasn't even worth that much. Only Joe stuff in the store. They did their reset, but the aisle was mostly empty pegs, so they may get new Joes.

Did a full reset on mine. No joe pegs. The new SW stuff was out, but picked over by the time I got there. Some new TF stuff....The giant Predaking is tempting. No MU figures (though they did have those crappy Wolverine and Avengers Assemble figures), but there was an empty peg marked for them.

Yeah, Target is good for finding stuff, but once they clearance it out, very rarely does it come back (especially when there is no SKU/packaging change.) I'm amazed at all the optimism about magically finding W3.5 and (especially) W4 at Target, since they've already closed out the line there.

Yeah mine has the same wave 1 crap for $5.
They did put out new Star Wars but none of the black series ones.
They also had new Marvel Universe. So yes they put out new stuff. :whistling:

Targets here are Joe barren. One Wm has pegs I got a wave 1 RB for 7 and found several Mu Pucks amd Hercules for 7. This wm has done a reset but no peh for MU. Targets have Mu pegs. Thos WM had the black series.

Sounds like the one near me. I think these are still works in progress, though. They were unloading toys while I was standing there talking to someone. I literally pointed out the SW 6" price tag to a clerk. And another Target last week had some "Limited Edition" Power Rangers in rather ornate armor that I certainly didn't see at this one today.

And from the way some of these posts read, what you find depends on what store you hit, not even what store chain. Star Wars Black here, Marvel Universe there, tags for this, no space for that, and no discernable pattern. That's gonna be fun...

I'm not terribly optimistic about G.I. Joe returning to Target anytime soon, but I don't think we've seen the last of Marvel Universe at Target, and I'm not buying into one person's (not on this board) rumor that G.I. Joe is "dead" when I know the latest assortment showed up at TRU.

Admittedly, this is a tough time for the toy world in general, which is certainly demoralizing, but I'm not really blaming either the companies or the retailers for that. And time of year is also a factor.

On the subject of clearance stores, has anyone else's Ross stores seemed to be reducing their toy sections to next to nothing? I wonder if those are on the way out. :-/

Didn't Hasbro say Wave 3.5 was being delayed on account of having to meet increased retailer demand?
What the hell happened?

Wave 1 definitely killed Joe around these parts.

TRU hasn't gone big on Joe locally since the first movie (and they barely got past wave 1 of that before clearance season). Right now there are four total Joe pegs at three different TRUs and they are all full up on Rockblock, Snake Eyes, Stormy and CCs.

Target is much bleaker, and I think that's because they went bigger. I remember when the movie was first scheduled, every local Target had half of one side of an aisle stocked with Joe product. And where the stores didn't pull product when the movie was postponed, it sold through. We even saw some wave 2 at those stores. But where the merch was shelved and brought back, they got clobbered with those reships of wave 1 figures and could never dig out.

Now none of our local Targets (I've checked seven in the last three days...two of those up to three hours away) have any Joe space at all. It's just a few random Rockblocks and Dukes interspersed with motorcycles on end caps marked "Clearance."

And if those Targets are stocking any MU on the one peg designated per store, they're always sold out by the time I arrive.

The left overs of the first wave are plaguing the pegs all over.
Hasbro isn't learning and they're doing the same thing again and again.
This is sad because the more interesting figures always appear in the later waves.

More interesting to us, maybe, but Hasbro has made it pretty clear adult collectors aren't their primary concern when it comes to Joe.

Hasbro has also told us that retailers, to whom they are beholden, insist that kids, the market Hasbro so desperately wants to like Joe, need recognizable main characters like Duke, Snake Eyes, CC and Storm Shadow on the shelf at all times.

Well now the retailers that still carry Joe have plenty of those characters. Or they've clearanced them out and eliminated their Joe pegs altogether. Our local Wal-Marts did that after the first movie debacle. Now Target's going the same route.

I think we're that much closer to the dystopian one-eyed vision of the future I predicted when the movie delay was announced.

Let's hope the Club doesn't jack up its prices by too much when it realizes its the only game left in town.
