I doubt the "club" is aware of who Honda Lou is. I am sure the guys who have prior knowledge of things Hasbro didn't put out have already seen the 13th figure.

That would be my guess if I had money riding on it. At the Club round table, someone asked how mysterious it was that NF Crazy Legs was absent from the offerings this year. Lanny Lathem replied with "Yeah is is really mysterious isn't it?" In such a tone that it made me feel he was hinting about it being the mystery figure.

If so, I hope they choose better legs. The Snow Serpent legs are too bulky compared to the rest of the mold.

better the legs be too bulky (Crazylegs) than too skinny (Iceberg/Spirit)

PoC Destro/Con'13 SAW V legs would be an ideal, excellent substitute for to SSerpent legs IMO.

I just hope it's someone worth getting to make the whole FSS worth getting. FSS part two has had its figures announced and we're getting Keel Haul and Toll Booth, so that'll round out the 82-86 collection if maybe the secret figure this time around of next round is Cross Country.

Skullbuster (Range-Viper Commander)
Dragonsky (Oktober Guard Flamethrower)
Lt. Falcon (Night Force, with different construction than the Wave 14 version)
Big Bear (Oktober Guard Missile Specialist)
Admiral Keel Haul
Tiger Force Airtight (Brazilian Exclusive)
Tiger Force Shipwreck (Brazilian Exclusive)
Bombardier (Palitoy gray Flash repaint)
Cesspool (AWESOME!)
Desert Scorpion
Toll Booth
Widescope (New Sculpt Era)

If it is NF Crazylegs, than I'll be a bit let down. Its a fine figure, but not worth all this secrecy. Its a repaint for a subteam that was a Con exclusive, so many collectors won't even have the set. And its not like he is even the one missing member to complete the original squad. We still don't have Lightfoot or Outback.

If he is the 13th, they could have just said so at the beginning. A mystery figure should be one that no one sees coming - something truly special and unique.

Actually, we still haven't gotten a 1985 Frostbite (the ROC one doesn't count) or tan Clutch yet, so there would still be a few holes in the 82-86 lineup regardless of the identity of the 13th figure.

I agree that I think Night Force Crazylegs would be a bit of a let down - it certainly would be for me. If that is who we end up getting, it feels like the choice is bad on two levels - people that bought the FSS are probably expecting something more special, and collectors that didn't get the FSS may be really angry that they won't easily be able to obtain a figure that is both a classic RAH figure update and a member of a team (and there was no way beforehand that this figure would be offered - not that I think many people would have signed up solely for that figure). If the Club was determined to do a Night Force figure, I think the convention Chuckles might have been a better choice, considering that Chuckles was not an original member and would therefore presumably not be a "hole" for collectors that want updates of the RAH figures.

(Also, Lightfoot and Sneak Peek are the two members that have yet to be released or announced - we did get Night Force Outback in the Assault on Cobra Island 7-pack.)

You're right. I knew we missing two and forgot about Sneak Peek. I wonder why they didn't try to cobble Lightfoot out of Steeler? That figure as a base would work. Keep the helmet the same, add some type of webgear or harness to replicate his torso design, and add a robot.

You don't count that Frostbite, nor do I and I'm willing to bet 99.9 % of all collectors don't either, but Hasbro probably does. Though I think I'd rather get a v1 accurate Frostbite than Cross Country. As for Tan Clutch, some might argue that the Clutch that came with the PoC VAMP could be considered "Tan Clutch." He fills that hole in my ME collection...for now.
Keel Haul and Toll Booth will be nice to get though, as I'm building my collection, both ME and O-ring, to have every figure from 82-what's available from 87 (only missing o-ring Star Duster, and Crystal Ball will NEVER step foot into my collection). Maybe an upcoming Con set will include BF2K in ME style and Quick Draw will find his bumpy uniformed way to pegs at some point too, same with Sneak Peek.
Speaking of hole filling...I see that carded examples of Iceberg are on eBay, has the Club figure been mailed out yet or are these figures that were available at the con?

They had the Carded figures at the Convention yes, and a limited quantity of bagged ones for sale also.

There were Icebergs for sale at the convention, but I've heard nothing from the Club in regards to mailing out the "free" membership stock yet. I suspect they'll get to that soon.
