I like the figure enough to pay regular retail prices. I always liked Sure Fire. But heck with their "LASER BLAST" prices.

especially when you still have to "fix" the figure.

That's a pretty stupid mistake.

I'll be happy to get him too, just wish he was the blue version instead of brown and green. I almost be willing to pay to have someone customize him like the one one the board members here photoshopped him to look with the blue uniform.

On the figure's actual merits, I like him a lot too, and I'd love to see other RAHC characters get an update. However, I'm still a bit disappointed that the reason we got this figure is because David Lane chose to make a figure of David Lane, and he chose to do so in an expensive collector-oriented line.

This is so true! If they did Brawler instead, would we be as annoyed? I think a little, as Brawler is David Lane's friend Brian Mulholland. But I think there is more intrest in Brawler over Surefire. I think Sideswipe would of been great or an updated and diffrent Barricade. But being it is David and he is constantly putting his character in the comics and in an almost "command" position, it is annoying.

I couldn't give a crap less about that, I don't see any reason for ire over it. And honestly I can't blame him. If there was a 2000-02 era Joe named for me and I had just one single chance to get him updated in the modern era like this, hell I might go for it too.

Big Brawler would have had a similar issue, though not quite the same. As far as I know, Brian Mulholland is not officially a Club employee anymore (he was definitely more active in the Steel Brigade Club days, prior to them getting absorbed into Savage's group). But, more importantly, like you say, there's definitely more interest in a Brawler figure, even if only perhaps from this site making that character legendary. :)

Anyone catch how the Club justified sending these two figures together? (Hint: See the last sentence in Sure Fire's filecard.) I think it's REALLY a stretch.

We'd be annoyed if there were no Brawling Sword

no more of a stretch than the connection between Sure Fire and Slice on the 2002 filecard was.

Big Boa and Topside were more of an exaggeration imo.

It will be likely more of a stretch if they do versus-style lines on the file cards on Joe-Joe months.

"Grunt is old-school and is suspicious of Barrel Roll's loyalty due to his brother being in Cobra, so he's keeping a close eye on the sniper ...."

Are they really trying to come up with a reason for the pairings they've been using? I don't see why that would really matter.
