Was this the 1st time the Undertow hit clearance? I don't recall the figure being on sale prior to this... almost every post I see involves people interested in $5 Undertows...

I think so. I would have picked them up before if they had gone on sale. It is a nice addition to the 2005 grenadiers in that color scheme, and a great inspiration to make an IG Hydrofoil, if I could have snagged 8 or 10.

When I was at my work PC yesterday I was able to get a bunch of things in my cart, like 5 Undertow figures and a bunch of 12 inch stuff coming out to around $200. Seams reasonable to me, I didn't hoard the Undertows. Then I couldn't finish the order and had to go home for the work day was over.

At home I used my laptop, same 5 Undertows, 12 inch stuff, etc... Still can;t finish the order and I had my laptop in front of me all night. I even tried my PC down stairs at one point, same issues.

My cat woke me at 3:30 in the morning, so since I was up I turned on my laptop (it was shut down) and my cart still had my items. I was still not able to finish the deal so after 1/2 hour I went back to bed.

I got to work today and even though I shut down the browser my items appeared briefly in my cart again on my work PC.

The contents in the home PC and work PC are slightly different, so depending on which PC / Laptop I looks like it's retaining the items in the cart.

Chances are one they system is fixed I'll loose all that stuff and be royal screwed on Undertows because this is Fun Publishing and all.

Still, a guy can dream, right? ;-)

Every time I've tried to hit it over the past couple of days, I've gotten the "This store is closed. Please try again later." message, so I haven't even seen any of these prices. This was on different computers on different networks. One time, it did show me some stuff with "Featured item" view on, but when I went to sort by "date added", it jumped to the "store is closed" message.

Good to see some things never change with the GIJCC.

It would seem they closed the store for the time being.

Hello all you Club Members!

While we have corrected the issue with the sale item pricing, there now appears to be an issue with the check out that stops the check out process in the middle. This is tricky to diagnose as it does not happen to everyone.

I have turned the store off while the store software company takes a look at this intermittent issue.

I'll send out another email when this is corrected.

Thanks for your patience!

Brian

I did experience some glitching in that the sale price was not always displayed during my checkout... It didn't always show the sale price for items as i refreshed my cart...the price was correct in the total column... but just not shown as a discounted percent in red...

I actually LIKE, and support the club. I think they put out some nice items.

However, their complete and utter inability to handle technology is amusing and sad, all at the same time.

That's how I feel about it. I mean, there are grandmas out there who'd never touched a computer until 2 or 3 years ago who are now running web stores that don't have the issues the club has.

While I agree with both of you... I'm not sure "Grandma'sKittenMittens.com" is subject to the Zerg Rush of Gi Joe Collectors wanting a good deal on cheap figures.

That said...I'd would have thought 10 years would be enough time to adapt to and anticipate your membership...maybe just a little bit.

Remember years ago when Smalljoes had a limited amount of those Schock Viper / Serpentor 2 packs and we all joked about crashing their server? Yeah, it was a bit slow for an hour or so but things never came to a dead stop.

GIJCC needs help. They need to stop blaming everyone else and get things fixed. No more excuses. The only reason this is allowed to continue is because us collectors are such a small audience and it doesn't warrant media attention. If this made it to main stream media I think things would be fixed properly and very quickly.

That's just it, though. It doesn't matter how big your store is, as long as you scale your architecture to it. GrandmasKittenMittens.com might not get a lot of traffic, so she can get buy with a lower-end service provider/DB/bandwidth package. But for a still small, but considerably busier than GKM.com, store, you need to move to a better hosting solution. If you've been in business for as long as they have, and especially if you've had web store problems almost that whole time, it would behoove you to spend some time in talking with a consultant about what your needs might be for a store, then go with it. And not a consultant who works for a hosting company. Talk to an independent consultant and go with their recommendation. Heck, talk to a couple, just to be sure. You don't just jump in bed with the first person who smiles at you. All that leads to is missing kidneys and tubs of ice.

Its just...I'm not surprised anymore. You want people to stop "bashing the club"? Stop being inept at every turn.
