This is good news...

The single carded one (or what I assume is, I only have the preview pack) has some pads on his shoulders for his rocket launcher mount to clip on to. The three pack version just has a basic tank top. Kinda thinking it might see use for the v2 retaliation Roadblock, but I could be wrong. Very minor difference really.

Oh, but that pad's removable.

Yup, but in the first pics there you can see sculpted pads too. The three pack version doesn't have those, and now that I see this pic, no straps either.

Oh, and the collapsable bow that can fit over a backpack peg that Storm Shadow comes with is one of the coolest accessories in quite awhile.

Checked my local TRU tonight. They did not have the 3 packs, singles, or vehicles. But, they did have the motorcycles and some of the roleplay stuff. Can't say I was interested in any of it. I suppose the one plus the motorcycle figures have over the other vehicle drivers is that the motorcycle riders have knee joints. Both bikes though I thought looked way too big and the figures themselves had really bad qc on the paint jobs. Globby and off center on both of them and the Firefly looked just plain dirty, like he'd been stepped on a few times on the factory floor. The role play swords are 100% foam and look like ass. The swords they made for ROC looked WAAAAAY better.

Target, on the other hand had absolutely nothing and their toy aisle looked like it hadn't been stocked in over a month. The side of the aisle where the super hero toys have been lately was almost completely empty. And slightly off topic, but it seems to me that Star Wars must be starting to drop off the scalper radar. I haven't seen anything new in a LONG time. The same product has been warming pegs since they changed the packaging styled.

Saw a few single pack figures, the small motorcycle sets and some of the roleplay accessories today at Walmart in Saddle Brook.

Just found wave 1 of the single packs at Wal-Mart. No news there really, but the Cobra Commander is the black version. Be curious to see which one ends up more common, black or blue.

I found the black Cobra Commander at Target today. I'm starting to think it is the common version.

Saw the bikes and role play crap today. They used to have eight pegs for Joes at the Indiana, PA Walmart. Granted, they were ALWAYS bare pegs, they still had eight. Now, two for bikes, one for masks and one for Renegades Cobra Commander. I assume they'll put the single pack figures on that peg. Barely gave the bikes a glance. They were like $13. Thought vehicles were supposed to be cheaper now.

Hasbro and online retailers have largely nullified the old scalpers by requiring completist collectors to buy entire cases of figures. The added bonus is that casual collectors like myself lose interest when we cannot find anything new at stores and buy nothing for weeks (months?), then Hasbro can site declining collector interest as another excuse to go back to making toys with 1978 levels of articulation. :-/
