I wish those bruder toys were more available though, I have wanted a 1 : 18th scale garbage truck for a while.

The Bruder stuff I usually find too big, and the doors never work on them. For a garbage truck . . .

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... +Secondary

which is still on shelves at TRU. I prefer this older one though . . .

http://cgi.ebay.com/Tonka-Mighty-Motori ... 2c5c7a3616

because the front forks are more interesting visually and it looks less "toy-ish" as a whole. ust the oversized levers on one side and that's it.

I actually almost bought one of those from walmart, but i really like the old school 80's garbage truck with the ditch in the back, Bruder had one but I can never find it. I really just want to make a Springfield garbage truck for my joes to commandeer like in the comics.

Also, does anyone know what model John Deere cart they use when they haul off injured football players? I've always wanted one for Lifeline and Doc, but I have no idea what they're called or if Ertl makes one.

There are a few pieces of heavy equipment I've seen at Wal*Mart, a forklift among them. Has the single greatest selling point for our hobby printed right on the front that reads "fits most 3 3/4 inch tall figures." Can't for the life of me remember who makes them though.

I'd kill for an 88 in 1/18 scale.

I know, right? I've long wondered how we got an AVLB, but no 88.

A couple thoughts - in regards to a Lear Jet, there is one that Playmobil makes (they also make a larger Jumbo-style jet). I haven't tried any of their vehicles yet, but I'm guessing it should work for shorter (RAH) figures at least.

And on the subject of Playmobil, they also make a cargo ship. Probably not exactly what those that wanted a big ship are looking for, but a good start.

And in regards to a forklift, Bruder does make one, and the other one mentioned I believe is part of the CAT (Caterpillar) line. They're both pretty big (more like 1/16).

For the limo someone mentioned - there might be a diecast 1/18 one out there, but that would have the same probs others have mentioned for diecast (generally too small). I did see one from the Lil' Bratz line a few years back that looked like it would work quite well - it came in white or black.

Didn't chad_ghost make a custom Extensive Enterprises jet out of that Playmobil one? I know someone on JC has used one and if I remember correctly, it turned out pretty well ;-)

I'm looking at that custom standing on top of the plane. Sonic Tunnel Rat waist and legs, Chuckles arms and torso, with a Action Pilot head?

Ding ding ding! We have a winner.
That's my undercover GI Joe LBC from his mission on a resort.

Awesome to see that someone is using the Playmobil jet! But I see you've still got Playmobil-boy piloting it? How well do the Joe figs fit in the pilot and/or passenger seats? I'm also seriously considering getting the control tower set - that seems like a helpful dio piece for any airfield.

Quick ideas on some things:

1. There are a couple of Cessna-type planes - I have one made for Fisher Price Adventure people.
2. Regular Jeeps - Tonka had a decent military one that goes around $20 or so on ebay from the 70s or so. Gay Toys made one as well (I had one but sold it), and many of their stuff (as well as Nylint) does decently or with some minor mods works better than the 1/18 diecast models.

My Marshalls has Bruder stuff again & I made a note of what they had.

http://www.fao.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3523745 $29.99 working water pump!
http://www.fao.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3522509
http://www.fao.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3523750
http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... oBEPMCMAU#
They also had a cement mixer but I forgo which one.
Some were $19.99
None were any Mack trucks.
I'm really considering getting the fire truck. Then I will need some PTE firemen.
These would work well with the modern era figures. O-ring not so much.

I like to stay more to the military themed items so my five 1/18th scale wish list is as follows.
1. M109A6 Paladin self propelled howitzer
2. British CVRT FV107 Scimitar
3. British Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank
4. German Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank
5. A tie with either the Russian MIG 29A Fulcrum or the SU35 Flanker
Here you go. So many more that I could have listed.
